Geologist finds 'Cookie Monster' inside rock

Still Waters

A geologist has discovered a rare and unusual looking rock that happens to look just like the Cookie Monster.

The lump of volcanic rock was found in the Rio Grande dol sul region near Soledade in Brazil by California-based geologist, Mike Bowers.

Discussing the discovery of the agate with MailOnline, Bowers said: "I think this is probably the most perfect Cookie Monster out there.

On the outside, the rock looks fairly ordinary and is in an egg-like formation. However once split into two, the rock's sapphire insides seem to immaculately form the shape of Sesame Street biscuit-loving monster.

I have so many halved thunder eggs, I wish they were worth that much! They always look like some kind of picture pretty uncanny sometimes how perfect some of the resemblances are.

Well if in 2004, a Florida woman sold her 10-year-old grilled cheese sandwich claimed to bore the image of the Virgin Mary for $28,000 on eBay...
