Adobe Flash Player replacement ?

Does anyone know which software is a good replacement for the  'Adobe Flash Player' software whicjh disappeared on December 31, 2020 ? Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up.  I haven't used Adobe flash in years but I did not know it is gone.

Depends what you are needing Flash for - generally speaking, it's been discontinued as a technology for websites.

There is no alternative that I know of, as I say Flash has been discontinued so it's pretty much gone.

It was an old technology left over from the early days of the Web.

That said, most game sites etc. will have updated their content to use newer technologies so you shouldn't actually need it.

As Saru said, Flash is old tech. It's being discontinued because it's rarely used.

Windows 10 had Flash Player built in, but an update should've removed it by now.

The excellent and free, not even any ads, spyware or nagwear, basic photo viewing and editing software, Irfanview, will play flash games as well, that's files with the .swf file extension

There is an experimental open source player https://lightspark.github.io/

If you're a developer there is an open source Flash API called OpenFL https://github.com/openfl/openfl
