US city will pay workers $6k to move there

It’s not only tiny rural Italian towns that are on the lookout for new residents – a city in Mississippi, USA, is willing to pay people to move there.

Natchez, population 15,000, is looking to entice new blood by offering a generous resettlement package worth up to $6,100 for remote workers.

The new Shift South scheme will give newbies up to $2,500 in moving costs, plus a monthly stipend of $300 for the first year to cover their living expenses.
