I was extremely sorry to read this: I had hoped he was making a good recovery after all his health  setbacks of recent times.

Despite these problems, he was kind enough to give a lot of encouragement to a project on which I and someone else were working on some while back.

Very sad news indeed ...  Condolences to his friends and family.

RIP to John, Not on UM much, but he taught me a lot, shared interest with me a lot and debated a lot with me. Great to know him, and will be missed.

I have not been participating here long and did not have many interactions with kmt_sesh, but it was immediately apparent from those I did that this was a genuinely fair, objective, honest, and knowledgeable person. A rare treat.

The Imperishable Ones await you.

I've been off and on here for a while, and though I hadn't many interactions with him, I have always enjoyed reading kmt's posts.

My condolences go out to his family and friends (as well as any who knew him).

I'm so sorry to hear that.
My interactions with him where in the history section. He knew so much about so many topics, and he always had something interesting to tell and/or interesting links to share.
