Eldorado Posted February 16, 2021 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2021 (edited) North Korea attempted to steal Covid-19 vaccine technology from US pharmaceutical company Pfizer, according to South Korean intelligence officials. It is currently unclear as to what, if any, data was stolen. South Korea's National Intelligence Agency privately briefed lawmakers about the alleged attack, reported local news agency Yonhap. The BBC has asked Pfizer for a comment but it has yet to respond. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-56084575 Edited February 16, 2021 by Eldorado

Trading with a western nation? Like they're /equals/? No way he'd go for that. This way the victims of that regime can at least avoid the Coronavirus. Granted the rollout is almost certainly going to be shoddy and generally problematic, but it's better then nothing.
moonman Posted February 16, 2021 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2021 Yeah, if you have to steal something, this would be the thing to take.
Wistman Posted February 16, 2021 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2021 Not sure about this report from SK. North Korea would have little trouble obtaining either the Chinese or the Russian vaccines, which seem to be effective and relatively inexpensive.
