Princess Latifa: Dubai princess held hostage?

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has said the case of Princess Latifa is "concerning" and the pictures of her are "very distressing", adding that people want to see that "she is alive and well".

The Dubai princess has accused her father of holding her hostage in secret videos released to Sky News, following attempts to flee the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Princess Latifa is a daughter of one of the world's richest men, Dubai's billionaire ruler Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum.

I don't know . . . . . there's something not quite right about this story. There are more deserving people whose human rights are being violated, who should be making headline news.

Update:

Princess Latifa: Image appears to show her alive in mall in Dubai

A photo that appears to show Princess Latifa is alive has been posted online and shared with Sky News.

It is the first time she has been seen in public since secret video messages were released to Sky News in February.

In the tapes she claimed she was being held "hostage" by her father, the ruler of Dubai.

The picture looks staged.  No one else in the picture and Latifa is not happy and smiling like the other two women in the picture.

There's something fishy about those images, as both have been reversed with writing on the signs, backward.

And another one: Odd how these photos are surfacing now.

Women who posted about nights out with Princess Latifa on social media ‘were ordered to do so’

The women with the princess in the pictures have been identified as two of the princesses former chaperones and an acquaintance who works as a clairvoyant.

Sources close to Princess Latifa said some or all of the women had previously worked for the Dubai royal family and had been ordered to post the images and not talk about it.

@Still Waters, question here. The above post #13 that I posted had a photo of Queen Latifa, and it is no longer there.,

Was I wrongful for posting that photo? Or perhaps I did it wrong? thanks.

Princess Latifa: Dubai ruler’s daughter is ‘well’, says UN human rights chief

The daughter of the ruler of Dubai, who had said she was being held hostage in videos aired last year, has assured the UN high commissioner for human rights that she is well during a meeting in Paris.

The meeting, which took place on an unspecified date at Princess Latifa’s request, was revealed on Friday – a year after videos were released by British media where she is seen saying she was being held hostage and feared for her life.

“Latifa conveyed to the high commissioner that she was well & expressed her wish for respect for her privacy,” the high commissioner, Michelle Bachelet, said in a tweet, which included a picture of the two women on a Paris street.
