Still Waters Posted February 19, 2021 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2021 Few of us have been lucky enough to see penguins in the wild, but I reckon we'd still know an unusual one when we saw one. Still, one wildlife photographer managed to capture an extremely unusual specimen on a recent trip, as he unveils pic of what he calls a 'never before seen' yellow penguin. Yves Adams, the snapper in question, was heading up a two-month photography expedition through Antarctica and the South Atlantic when the tour stopped off at the wild islands of South Georgia. https://www.ladbible.com/community/animals-photographer-snaps-never-seen-before-yellow-penguin-20210219 2
DreadLordAvatar Posted February 20, 2021 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2021 That sounds racist. The proper term for this type of penguin is albino.
HandsomeGorilla Posted February 20, 2021 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2021 Beautiful bird, some hypomelanistic anomaly and not necessarily albinistic, at least not in the the typical context. Hope he stays away from the orcas and bears lol
