First,   MSN puts out a headline... 7000 adverse reactions to Covid Vaccine...and I'm like OMG...then in the story they tell us...but it's only 1/2 percent of those actually immunized. 

Then the CDC puts out walls of words in such a way as to be meant only for the very gifted with the patience to actually read  and comprehend  their mumbo jumbo data jibberish.

Since I went through most of the entire summer of 2020 not wearing a mask, not using antiseptic, suspicious of the entire pandemic, and here I am today still alive and kicking and not infected, even though I have been everywhere everyone else has been...I think I will just continue with that line of thinking. 

I will NOT be getting a vaccine...I'll just keep on licking my fingers in the grocery store to easily open the produce bag to put in the bananas that half the Covid Sheep Farm have already touched and then rub my sleepy eyes and scratch the inside of my nose with my ungloved, un-antisepticized fingers.

...if I were going to get a vaccine...and I'm not...I'd sign up for the 'paycheck' many pharm corps are offering for Joe Q Public to become a Guinea Pig...but I am sure as hell not going to sign up to be a PGP  (pharmaceutical guinea pig)  to save Pharm Corp and the Government face.

I don't care what the 'eggspurts' say...the vaccine came out too fast, untested, and propagandically thrust upon the clamoring and frightened sheep herd...by an all-to-willing government and Media.

  ...and with only 4% of the population vaccinated, less than one month after the election results,  in which 'Obama's Third Term' was assured, the numbers in 39 states have dropped by 50%...   So why the rush to get the vaccine anyway?  At least that's what  CNN  tells us...whom we all believe as Gospel....   not  

I am more leery of the Government Solution than I am of the actual Government Mandated Pandemic.

And what exactly counts as a "bad reaction"? Are they counting pain and swelling at the injection point that happens with pretty much all vaccines?

Side effects are normal for vaccines. And what has been observed so far with the COVID vaccines is also not out of the ordinary.

Sure, there’s potential for an increased risk of more severe side effects with the vaccines for COVID being developed more quickly than normal, but we haven’t seen that yet. 
And that’s why it’s being monitored more closely, just in case more severe side effects are observed.

I would say with any type of vaccine some side effects are to be expected, the Covid vaccine is no different in that respect.

I had my first dose a week ago with the 2nd dose booked in for April. My arm was a bit sore afterwards at the injection site for less than 2 days, when my husband had his a week before me he had no after effects whatsoever. 

When I get the annual flu shot my arm is always sore afterwards, when I had the pneumonia vaccine that was far worse, I could hardly move my arm for several days afterwards. All in all the Covid vaccine was nothing and I have no qualms about getting my 2nd dose.

It's not surprising there are problems with the vaccines--they've been rushed out with a public consumed with a media orchestrated panic over the virus. It reminds me of the Polio vaccine trials.

I think the OP is referring to immediate adverse reactions to the vaccine, not the normally expected side effects.

I got the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and had a mild immediate reaction to it within about 5-7 minutes. I experienced a sensation in my chest, upper arms and neck, had a metallic taste in my mouth, some slight dizziness, and also noticed a slight wheeze in my breathing.

The CDC recommends that if anyone has even a non-severe reaction to the first shot, that they should not get the second shot, so I won't be getting the second one. Here's their wording on the subject (note the bold wording):

If you have a non-severe allergic reaction to a COVID-19 vaccine

CDC has also learned of reports that some people have experienced non-severe allergic reactions within 4 hours after getting vaccinated (known as immediate allergic reactions), such as hives, swelling, and wheezing (respiratory distress).

If you have had an immediate allergic reaction—even if it was not severe—to any ingredient in an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, CDC recommends that you should not get either of the currently available mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. If you had an immediate allergic reaction after getting the first dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, you should not get the second dose.  Your doctor may refer you to a specialist in allergies and immunology to provide more care or advice.

Edit to add: This was also the very first and only time I ever had an immediate reaction to a vaccine. I surmise it must have been to one of the ingredients in the vaccine that my system had not seen or reacted to before.

There has also been no long-term testing.

This is why vaccines usually take several years before hitting the market.

My mom had her's recently and has had no issues. In addition I have had 3 friends that already had the 2nd shot weeks ago. Other then a sore arm they been just fine.

Yes, and people need to realize that there is side effects with everything. Various factors play a role such as  Age, Health, Weight etc when examining these issues. Many don't take that into account.
