A few months ago i stumbled upon a aussie show ,it had full episodes on youtube ,and it was quite good.

Can't remember the name but it seamed like a remake of 90's uk comedy game on.

So are there any decent recent comedies that might be on youtube or  streaming sites ?

Movie recommendations would be most welcome as well.

I like watching things with a different style, movie i watched as a teen,i think was called fast talking was good.

I'm in the mood for some Australian culture.

The only australian comedy I know of is The Crocodile Hunter, a nature show with a lot of humor.  Steve also did a movie that was hilarious, can't remember the name of it.

Try a google image search and you may strike lucky for the one you're looking for.

I'm not looking for anything in particular, just a funny recent aussie comedy.

I browsed aussie comedies and found the game on remake, but no luck finding anything similar.

My sister recommended  Sisters, Offspring, and Rake. I believe they’re all on Netflix.

Thanks, I don't have netfix but I'll try to check them out on some other platform.:tu:

I watched a couple episodes of Sisters and I didn't find it funny, I am not a fan of relationship dramadies.  Too much drama and not enough comedy.

The first half of Black Sheep, a comedy-horror film from NZ, is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

.....and the rest of it is ok.

Don't know about recent shows, but here are a few that have made me laugh over the years:

- Upper Middle Bogan: A woman from a respectable family discovers she was adopted, and her birth family are from the other end of the social scene.

- Black Comedy: Sketch comedy show looking at Australian culture from an indigenous angle.

- The Fast Lane: (Not sure if it's available, from the 1980s), about a pair of clueless private investigators and their secretary who does all the real work.

- Here Come The Habibs: A Lebanese-Australian family from the working class western suburbs of Sydney win the lottery and move into the affluent eastern suburbs.

- Hard Quiz: Quiz show where four people compete for the weekly prize of the Big Brass Mug, hosted by sarky comedian Tom Gleeson.

- Have You Been Paying Attention: Current affairs quiz show featuring a rotating cast of comedians (sometimes even including an occasional Kiwi...).

- All Together Now: From the 1990s, an ageing rock star discovers he has a family.

- Acropolis Now: From the 1990s, culture clash between Greek-Australians and Anglo-Australians in a Melbourne cafe.

- Kath & Kim: Suburban life in Melbourne ("Look at moy, I want to be effluent!").

- All Aussie Adventures: Survival and wildlife expert Russell Coight in a mockumentary send-up of survival and wildlife shows.

- Mr & Mrs Murder: A couple who specialise in cleaning up crime scenes get involved in solving crimes.

- Kinne Tonight: Sketch comedy show featuring comedian Troy Kinne's view of life.

That should be enough to keep you occupied for a while...
