Small steps to the documentary the matrix film, which was a documentary.    When the ants build your technology so small one piece at a time where the ants didn't quite put the dots together to what they're building.

The Matrix was a philosophical commentary.

It was ground breaking for a number of reasons, its cinematography and its live action depiction of the cyber punk genre.

It was not however original in its concept and borrowed elements from other stories, not least of which the anime Ghost in the Shell.

A documentary it is not.  And humans would make awful batteries, they should have just exterminated humanity and used geo-thermal power, it’s even commented on that Zion is kept warm due to its proximity to the core so we know that would have been a viable option.

I still love the Matrix, but it does fall apart as a working universe with a few awkward questions.

And Spinal Tap was a Rockumentary.  Anyway, the AI machines will take over the world eventually, it’s just a matter of time.  And in comparison to them, we may eventually be considered bio waste.

When they can figure out Defender and Stargate, I'll be impressed.
