Frustrated shoppers blamed aliens after their car key fobs stopped working outside a Tesco in Hertfordshire. 

Police say they received around 100 reports in three days from people using the supermarket in Royston, Hertfordshire.

Well, it does sound like something unknown is going on or interfering with FOBs. I hope a technical investigation is undertaken regarding signals that could interfere with FOBs. If not, ???? , speculative hypothesis are allowed.

Key fobs re just rfid. There's likely a very simple explanation for this.

The good people in a small northern Canadian town are calling attention to their ongoing war with a mysterious and invisible force that's been killing car key fobs and leaving drivers stranded in the parking lot of the town's largest grocery store, the CBC reports.
