Still Waters Posted March 7, 2021 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2021 Nigel Farage has resigned as leader of Reform UK, the renamed Brexit party, and announced he is stepping back from frontline party politics permanently, saying he had achieved what he wanted to thanks to the Conservatives’ Brexit deal. The former Ukip leader, who led that party to a high water mark when it secured more than 14% of the vote in the 2015 general election, said he still planned to participate in political debate, but not within a party. Reform UK, which campaigns on issues including electoral reform and shrinking the state, as well as opposing coronavirus lockdowns, will be led by Richard Tice, the property developer who chaired the Brexit party. He is on record as saying he does not approve of unelected bureaucrats. So he would not approve of elevation to the Peerage. But of course he would take it. But who would offer it? Even the Tories know no one has more damage to the UK than Farage has done. No doubt he'll also try to get a laugh out of the fishing industry! And this is the piece of excrescence stevewinn thinks should be in the Lords! Bad enough BoJo the Clown putting his brother in there for no good reason other than it is a sinecure.
