6-axis robotic arms??!! There is no such thing as six axis reference frame. In the context of robotics there are only three orthogonal axes involving six degrees of freedom.

Nevertheless, the motions of the parallel 6 DOFs robotic arm were interesting and innovative.

They are talking about 6 mechanical axis needed to pull-off this amazing feat of precision.

Not the standard 3 orthogonal axis.

The standard 3 can not do this high level of extreme precision. It's otherwise known, as you stated, "degrees of freedom" which is different.

Yes, Pallidin. I agree. But these are not 6 axes, they are just 6 mechanisms. An axis is a line of reference. The authors of this video are misusing the term.

Ok, you do seem to know what the proper terminology is in this case, so I stand corrected.
