Eldorado Posted April 7, 2021 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2021 NASA's little Mars helicopter has opened its eyes on the Red Planet. The 4-lb. (1.8 kilograms) chopper, known as Ingenuity, snapped its first color photograph on Saturday (April 3), shortly after being lowered to the Martian dirt by the Perseverance rover. The tableau shows "the floor of Mars' Jezero Crater and a portion of two wheels of NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover," agency officials wrote in a description on Monday (April 5), when the photo was released. Golden Duck Posted April 9, 2021 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2021 It kind of looks like Mars is made out of peanut brittle.
ChrLzs Posted April 9, 2021 #5 Share Posted April 9, 2021 Oh, come on Ing... We talked about this in your training sessions.. I'll remind you: 1. Find an interesting subject, either centred or using the 2/3 rule. 0/10 2. Crop un-necessary detail. 0/10 3. Focus. Always in focus. 3/10 4. (Refer to 2.) Keep very bright or very dark areas out of the shot as they screw with exposure. 4/10 We'll expect a vast improvement for shot #2... Seriously, I really, really hope this little drone works - flying over martian scenery will be awesome..

The drone won't fly, because there's no air on Mars.
