Iran begins tests on advanced nuclear centrifuge

Recommended Posts

Eldorado

Iran has begun mechanical tests on an advanced nuclear centrifuge as the five world powers that remain in a foundering 2015 deal attempt to bring the US back into the agreement.

Iran’s IR-9 centrifuge, when operational, would have the ability to separate uranium isotopes more quickly than the current centrifuges being used, thereby enriching uranium at a faster pace.

The announcement carried on state TV came on Iran’s annual Nuclear Day.

The IR-9’s output is 50 times quicker than the first Iranian centrifuge, the IR-1. Iran’s nuclear programme is also developing IR-8 centrifuges.

All they need is enough for one nuclear bomb and that will end all Israeli threats to blow up things like nuclear power plants, which they did to Iraq.

It's political.

Iran's Natanz nuclear site suffered a problem Sunday involving its electrical distribution grid just hours after starting up new advanced centrifuges that more quickly enrich uranium, state TV reported.

It was the latest incident to strike one of Tehran's most secure sites amid negotiations over the tattered atomic accord with world powers.

State TV quoted Behrouz Kamalvandi, a spokesman for Iran's civilian nuclear program, announcing the incident.

“Kamalvandi said fortunately the incident has not caused any human damage or contamination,” a state TV anchorwoman said. "The cause of the incident is under investigation.”

Yes it was a very bad idea, but Jaba the Trump had a plan. He was certain during his Presidency that Iran would make a big mistake so that Israel and the US could put them down likea Rabid Dog or is was it God.:D All of that was caused by the Religious fanatics who were involved in foreign policy in the Trump Administration, but thats what happens when surround yourself with Extreme Right Religous fanatics who beleive that man can make Bible Prophecy happen!!!!!!

A nuclear facility in Iran was hit by a "terrorist act" a day after it unveiled new advanced uranium centrifuges, a top nuclear official says.

He did not say who was to blame but urged the international community to deal with nuclear terrorism.

Israeli media suggest the incident was a result of an Israeli cyber attack.

That part ended up being incorrect.  Interestingly the spokesperson of the AEOI while touring the facility to see the advanced centrifuges suffered a broken ankle and a fractured skull from the power outage.  There is some speculation online that the attack was a bit more then just a power outage and Iran is understating what happened.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif vowed revenge against Israel for an attack on Iran’s main nuclear facilities at Natanz but said it will not stop high-level talks to restore the country’s nuclear deal with world powers.

Iran is to inform international inspectors that it will begin enriching uranium to 60 per cent purity, higher than it has ever produced, state media has said, in what could be the first great foreign policy challenge for the US administration of President Joe Biden.

Abbas Araqchi, the deputy foreign minister for political affairs and Iran’s senior nuclear negotiator “has divulged news of the start of 60 per cent uranium enrichment,” reported the official Islamic Republic News Agency.

Oh crap, not good or maybe it's a staged plan to make Iran feel sorry for him. Never fear Obama will walk him through it ;)

Iran began enriching uranium Friday to its highest level ever, edging closer to weapons-grade levels to pressure talks in Vienna aimed at restoring its nuclear deal with world powers after an attack on its main atomic site.

A top official said only a few grams an hour of uranium gas would be enriched up to 60% purity — triple the level it once did but at a rate far slower than what Tehran could produce. International inspectors already said Iran planned to do so above-ground at its Natanz nuclear site, not deep within its underground halls hardened to withstand airstrikes.

Nice save by the mullahs.  They don't mention that most of their shiny new "super fast" centrifuges were turned to rubble INSIDE those "airstrike proof" underground bunkers, just hours after they crowed about start-up.  I guess they're determined to effing around until they find out.
