Eldorado Posted April 12, 2021 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2021 The fighting between the Agarabi and Tapo clans, stemmed from a land ownership dispute. As well as the nineteen dead, police say many more people are unaccounted for, and a number of properties have been destroyed. The fighting paused on Saturday and Sunday as the tribes observed the Sabbath. But Provincial Police Commander Michael Welly said there were signs that the fighting would resume this week as a "whole-out war". https://www.rnz.co.nz/international/pacific-news/440304/deadly-tribal-fight-in-png-highlands-threatens-to-escalate
Hankenhunter Posted April 12, 2021 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2021 (edited) Take the land away from both. Give it back with a gov't owned buffer strip down the middle. Six feet wide . Strictly enforced no trespassing. Prison terms for violators. They will be equally p***ed at the govt. They won't be fighting each other but the gov't. Common foe. Common sense. Aren't the simplest solutions sometimes the best? Edited April 12, 2021 by Hankenhunter Clarity
