Israeli nuclear facility seemingly under attack.

Something serious is going on in Israel right now.  These reports are only minutes old but air sirens going off at Dimona nuclear facility in Israel, patriot missile launched by Israel, and a heavy military aircraft presence in northern Israel

From what I'm seeing online it seems a ballistic missile/s was launched from Syria targeting the Dimona nuclear facility.  There was a report of a loud explosion from a nearby town but no reports of casualties or damage to the nuclear facility.  Not clear if only one patriot was launched or if multiple were.

Its believed Iran launched the attack in retaliation for what happened to their nuclear facility

Google News has nothing on this story. Nor have any of the 'News-all-the-time' television channels, including BBC World News. Iran has threatened retaliation for what appears to have been sabotage of its Natanz Nuclear Facility. No doubt Israel's Dimona Nuclear Facility was already on high alert. This could, it seems, cause false alarms there.

It definitely happened, multiple reports from Israel of a loud distant explosion and patriot missiles were launched.  Hamas has evacuated all its border positions, which they do when expecting Israeli retaliation, despite the Israeli government stating the launch did not come from Gaza.

Reports are starting to come in of Syria's air defense going active, no reports of them firing yet or explosions occuring in Syria but they got their air defense turned on and ready to engage.

Air strikes have started on Syria, IDF to release a statement on the ongoing events shortly.

Official reports are coming out now and they seem odd.

It's being reported that what occured was not actually an attack on the Dimona nuclear facility, instead it's being reported an anti air missile was fired by Iranian backed proxy forces within Syria near the Israeli border at Israeli warplanes after a bombing.  The missile missed its target and flew over most of Israeli before hitting the ground close to the Dimona nuclear facility.

That report seems a bit suspect as certain stuff doesn't add up like the anti-air missile just happening to fly over approximately 100 miles to just so happen to land near Dimona, that patriot missiles were fired, and that a loud explosion was heard throughout most of Israel.

@bison @OverSword Actually according to the Israeli Times they are uncertain where the rockets were launched from, however, the Nuclear Facility was not damaged according to this report.

Unverified video footage from central Israel, which was shared on social media, appeared to show the launch of an Israeli missile defense system, indicating an incoming projectile may have been intercepted

@bison @OverSword Here is an updated report that confirms your comments and suspicion's:

It was unclear at first where the missile was launched from. Several indications pointed to the missile being launched from Iraq, while according to other reports, it came from the city of Daraa in southern Syria following an Israeli airstrike.  Brig.Gen. Hidai Zilberman later told reporters that the explosion was due to the firing of an SA-5 anti aircraft missile that was fired towards Israel and that it exploded in the southern Negev. According to the spokesman, Israel responded to the firing of the SA-5 towards IAF jets by striking several anti aircraft batteries in Syria, including the one which fired the missile that exploded in southern Israel.

Israel and Syria are saying it was an anti-air missile but Iran is now claiming it was a purposeful attack done by them on the Israeli nuclear facility in retaliation for Natanz.

Both sides have an interest in lieing about what truly occured.  Iran has a habit of claiming credit for things they havent done for domestic reasons but Israel and Syria would probably both like to avoid an active war with each other and downplay what happened.

Truth will come out in time.

Syria and Israel frequently exchange missiles. The launching of an apparently random anti-aircraft missile is not a major news story. Nor, it seems, was it an attack on the Dimona Facility, despite what someone on Twitter many have claimed, or suggested.

Everytime Israel has bombed Syria and everytime Syria has engaged with anti-air there were reports of it happening in real time.  This time no reports of any attacks till about an hour after a loud explosion is heard throughout Israel and the location around Dimona goes to red alert and has sirens going.

This whole thing breaks every trend of what has been going on for years and it's rather suspicious.

Ultimately the missile was intercepted and there will be debris that should be able to easily confirm or deny it being an anti-air missile or a ballistic missile.

The mullahs and their Praetorian seem committed to the idea of effing around and finding out.  If the Hizballah launch anything, southern Lebanon is going to undergo a level of violence that'll make our "Shock and Awe" look like a tepid fireworks display.

With reports that people's homes are being rocked and there are loud explosions being heard, I doubt this is all just a false alarm.
