UK hospital helipad destroyed by US military copter

Air ambulances are unable to land at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge after its helipad was destroyed by a military aircraft.

It means critically ill patients can't be flown directly to the hospital, but have to be taken to Cambridge City Airport instead.

What's stopping air ambulances landing beside the destroyed helipad just like the Boeing Osprey did?

It is/was a portable helipad and most likely not certified for Ospreys.

You need to remove the debris first otherwise the air-currents created by landing cause a serious updraft that could easily compromise a smaller copters rotors in the low pressure zone above the blades. It almost impacted the 15 Tonnes Osprey as it was.

Don't you think that goes without saying? You would hardly land any kind of craft in a debris field.
