Possibly they may have had an influence but the 10-14 (variants) are common to most cultures - common sense social conventions except for the last one which is situation specific. ""You shall set up these stones, which I command you today, on Mount Gerizim."" The Israelite Samaritan Version of the Torah

Originally there were 15 Commandments.

I may have said this before - but that clip is part of an officially approved video about the Ten Commandments we use with students.
Yes.
Even after everyone pointed out it was Mel Brooks.

Read the full commandment Docy, it says “don’t make idols and worship them”, not “don’t make idols”.

Furthermore, a group of people at most months out of being part of Egyptian society for decades when presented with an object needing protection and veneration would obviously plump for Egyptian inspired artistry. Because…. They’re Egyptian-trained artists. They’re more Egyptian than they are Canaanite.

Maybe I'm getting this wrong.

They dìd make idols (the Cherubim), and they dìd worship them, as being part of the Ark.

No, they weren't idols.  They were Yahveh's throne platform.  Although you couldn't see him, he was sitting on top of the cherubim.

Worship (then) involved sacrifices (amongst other practices), they didn’t sacrifice to the Cherubim, nor in fact to the Ark. it was just a pretty box they carried the manifestation of YHWH’s will about in (and secretly a WMD). When the OT writers talk about worship there’s a lot of cultural stuff going on that we miss (the world behind the text according to the RE curriculum) because we are (amongst other things)culturally monotheistic, post-Lutheran reforms etc. we don’t worship in the same way they did - it‘s also the source of the accusations of idolatry directed at the Catholics, to the lay eye any icon in a place of worship is there to be the focus of worship and or veneration (presuming of course you are of a worshipful bent), whereas to Catholics icons of Mary (for example) are there to guide thought processes and to inspire certain mindsets that are beneficial to the supplicant. Also they look pretty and allow the priests to show off how influential they are by having statuary by famous artists.

the Ark was kept in a special place in the Temple, wherein only the High Priests could attend and what the did in there was unknown to all except the High Priests (including the OT writers who sort of hand waved the whole situation) but it wasn’t in and of itself something worshipped, it was a psychopomp, a focus for prayer because of what it represented (the presence of YHWH in His Temple). They didn’t pray to or sacrifice to the Ark, but rather where the Ark was was also where YHWH was, therefore that was where their prayers (and sacrifices) were directed.
It does sound very much like a legalistic quibble, but it’s a valid one. A modern equivalent would be Muslims praying towards Mecca, they’re not worshipping Mecca, but rather what Mecca represents theologically.

So you’re using Chapter Five of Harry Potter Sky Daddy to prove Chapter Six is real? Cunning methodology.

She’s not even doing that, she’s using Harry Potter to prove Hogan’s Heroes.

Don't make any images of gods and things, period.

And don't put any gods above El. Keep them below him.

Ishmael and Isaac (therefinersfire.org)

The Book of Revelation predicts another sphere of power that will enter this war with 200 million soldiers. This power bloc is called "the Kings of the East". They will move into the Middle East and attack once the war has started. The Bible says they will wipe out a third of the world's population.
