The article makes him sound unhinged from personal stressors rather than hateful or murderous.  Either way, he's a professional and knows what he did was criminal.  I didn't notice the piece mentioning that he would also lose his license to practice.  If that's accurate then the jury and his licensing board showed mercy and I appreciate that.  He still may never be employable again but maybe he won't lose his livelihood as well.

With that mindset, he should not be allowed to practice medicine. He has already abused that.

Brandenburg, an admitted conspiracy theorist, had already developed skepticism over vaccines in general when one of his daughters was diagnosed with eczema following an inoculation at a young age, Baltz said.

Not a very clever pharmacist to start with, then.

I'm not sure what the bolded means.  As to why anyone might choose to treat him like a human being who made a bad choice during a VERY STRESSFUL time in his life (divorce) and offer a little grace and forgiveness, it's this thing that some people do because they'd HOPE they would get the same treatment.  

Unless I misread the piece, his crime caused nothing more serious than adding stress to the lives of others during an already stressful time.  He was WRONG and his actions were criminal and might have caused much greater harm but they didn't.  He's going to be in prison for 3 years and that record will likely make him unemployable BUT the fact that he wasn't also penalized the means of earning a living seems like a compromise on the part of the jury and his licensing board.  IOW... they were more willing to be merciful than you seem to be.  Ever hear of Karma?

Thats nonsense because the withdrawal of his license would not deprive him of his livelihood. There are thousands kind of of jobs which dont require a medical licence and there are billions of people who manage their lives without having a medical licence.

Just to remember and not to be forgotten, he endangered people's lives because of an insane idea. Thus, he should never again be in a position to perform such stunt in future because its quite obvious that he suffer a psychological problem which was to the disadvantage of people who were looking for medical help.

This isn't some accident.  You don't seem to understand he deliberately sabotaged vaccines.

How would you feel a doctor keeping his medical license after attempting to poison his patients?  If no one seriously gets hurt he should get to keep it right?

He destroyed hundreds of Vaccines that could have been used to save more lives. Even if it his actions did not directly harm lives it had the potential of doing so. And those did want one had to wait longer. So in a sense he did harm lives indirectly.

For medical advice in a professional capacity. He hasn't acted like a pharmacist so he shouldn't be treated like one. He should be treated with great disdain for his actions that endangered his communication because he is basically an idiot. 

People have rough times all the time. You don't bring it to work. Simple as that. He didn't treat his patients with respect, why does he deserve any?

Quite. It is why we imprison people like a surgeon or airline pilot found drunk on the job, and not, say, a painter and decorator. Because we expect a higher level of responsibility from people in those positions.
