G7 hypocrisy?

Recommended Posts

I just wondered what people thoughts are:

The leaders of the worlds richest countries fly to the seaside for a week.

On the last night they have a BBQ on the beach and take selfies of themselves hugging each other.

Then they fly home and hope to repeat this next year.

While they were together they all agreed:

Holidays need to be restricted.

Flying should be discouraged due to the harmful effect on Global warming

Social events and gatherings need  be restricted for reasons of public health.

More needs to be spent 'levelling up' (while the host PM cuts foreign aid and domestic benefits).

I wonder if they have heard of Zoom or other video conferencing apps?

Anyone else think about Animal Farm?

The proposed new Royal Yacht would've been the ideal setting for the G7 meeting. anchored off Tresco, Isle of Scilly.

No media around. and three days at sea, escorted by our New Aircraft carrier.

Seemed to be a typical meet up, no G gatherings end up directly solving big problems.

Pledge to give vaccines was a reasonable start and royalty put a unique UK stamp on proceedings. ;)

Protesters were only there in smaller numbers, probably due to the fact those in Islington have no idea where Cornwall is.
