FBI questions alleged insurrectionist about potential connection to members of Congress

NBC News has obtained a transcript revealing an alleged participant in the January 6th Capitol attack was questioned by the FBI about potential connections to congressional lawmakers. MSNBC contributor and former Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks talks to American Voices host Alicia Menendez about what this line of questioning may indicate about how investigators are approaching this probe.

It appears that some members of congress lead the insurrections into the Capital and showed them around which is why they knew exactly where go during the attack, prior to the event on 6 Jan 2021.

"Alleged Insurrectionist"?  Which of the 500+ of those arrested were charged with the Federal crime of INSURRECTION?

Not a single one.  The media and those who perpetuate the use of that term are disgusting liars.

Continue to condone the event, but as the truth unfolds the entire prosecution can easily change from none being prosecuted for Insurrection to everyone being additionally charged with insurrection. The real liars are those who cling to lie that Trump wasn't responsible for everything that happened.

Yeah, coulda, shoulda, woulda...

IF the Feds charge insurrection then they have a very clear definition of it that has to stand up in courts and they OBVIOUSLY realize they can't make that case.  It's been 5 full months and some of those vandals and trespassers have been locked up that entire time.  FIVE months for the entire weight and power of the Federal government to be used to make a case for insurrection and STILL... NOT ONE has been charged with it.

Does Gautama have any wisdom for people who perpetually push hate and division?  You should check into that.  This stuff seems to be warping your psyche...

Don't be dumb and then.  What is the definition of insurrectionist?  Did these people not believe that Donald Trump was the legitimate President no matter what the states certified and what the constitution states?  You believe that as well.  You are, in fact, an insurrectionist...you just don't have the balls to act on it.  It doesn't matter what they are charged with...as a prosecutor has to take in to account what they can get a guilty verdict on.

insurrection
[ˌinsəˈrekSH(ə)n]

NOUN
  1. a violent uprising against an authority or government.
"the insurrection was savagely put down" ·
    synonyms:
    rebellion · revolt · uprising · mutiny · revolution · insurgence · insurgency ·

"Just a normal visit" is what some GOP members have said, and "hugging the Police" was what Trump said. They are trying to erase the events of that day.
But I'll believe the definition listed above before I listen to those idiots.

It's "legal speak."  They aren't considered insurrectionists until they are found guilty of the charge.

The purpose of the FBI Investigation that is outlined in the OP is to find and expose ties to Congressman and Senators who may have been involved by giving aid to the individuals involved in the attack. If those ties are proven there will be no doubt about the event being an Insurrection.

Insurrection was their stated aim:

In a Nov. 9 planning meeting for the attack, the founder of the Oath Keepers, identified as Person One in the filing, referred to the attack as an insurrection, saying "We're gonna be posted outside DC, awaiting the president's orders...We want him to declare an insurrection."

It’s so sad that we now tolerate political prisoners in this country who haven’t been charged with anything but trespass. If you are going to charge them with insurrection then do it and let them have their day in court. Otherwise these people need to be let go, and lawsuits need to get started.

What's truly sad are people who support the actions that occurred on 6 Jan 2021. But, we do agree on one thing, they are Prisoners and they are in jail for committing a crime based upon politics. But, the reason they are in jail is because the President of the United States attempted an Insurrection because he lost an election, and then tried to steal the election.  You are truly confused, and hopefully one day you will realize the mistake you made by following and believing all the false information that has lead you to this point.

I personally think this is void of reality. The president didn’t say anything that wasn’t #1 the truth, and #2 as peaceful as he could have put it.

Im also highly suspect of these quotes. Especially after all the conspiracy theories that have been proven false, that many on the left still believe even after being proven wrong.

Without proof, Trump still keeps claiming the election was "rigged" and "stolen."  He is the one constantly promoting it.

When people rise up against the Government, based on these claims, Trump along with  Lindell and Powell should be charged as well.

Mike Lindell keeps claiming Trump will be back in power by years end, and Powell says he can be simply reinstated.

I am sure Mike Lindell and Sydney Powell knows there is no "constitutional" way that Trump can be reinstated.

So if a violent uprising does occur, based on these constitutional impossibilities, and the falsities of Trump regaining power, how can they say, "I didn't do a thing?"

It is their words all these far right groups are watching and will act upon.

Best post of the month that I've seen.

Trump's legions of darkness are finding it difficult to fathom their demise by a rare pandemic, especially after Trump declared himself to be the "Chose One," in August of 2019, when Secretary Rick Perry whispered that lie, in his ear.

They say in law enforcement investigations that there are no such things, as coincidences. Years ago, I wrote of an abomination, which leads to desolation, in Washington D.C., and despite someone trying to censor the warning, it has come to pass, despite this.

Satellite images and online searches indicate China had coronavirus in the fall, Harvard study finds - CNBC June 2020

Covid-19 may have been circulating in China as early as August 2019, a new study from Harvard Medical School (HMS) claims.

Everyday his nonsense becomes more clear, Trump is losing ground and so are the individuals in Congress and the Senate who support him. Even the Conspiracy Theories started are falling apart, even Trumps mouth Piece Tucker Carlson has lost so much credibility when he opens his mouth people laugh Nationwide. The American people are strong bunch, more and Trumps supporters are seeing the truth. Soon only the Hardcore Right-Wing Extremists will be left to push his cause, and the more they do the more they identify just who they are. :tu:

People that support the 6th amendment right to a quick and speedy trial is not the same as supporting the actions of those on January 6th.  It's been over half a year, if they are going to charge them then get on with it.  It really should have happened in the first month.   I know that the authoritarian leanings of you and others here don't like to hear about the constitution and the rights American citizens have but they are real and being violated.
