Are Trump's followers being conned? No — they gave him $100 million because they love him

Donald Trump is the boss of a political crime family. He has internalized a basic rule and life mantra: Crime pays — if you are good at it, crime pays very well. Many political observers convinced themselves that Donald Trump would face financial ruin after his presidency. In the face of lawsuits and outstanding debts, the opposite has occurred: Trump instead finds himself sitting atop a huge pile of money. It is estimated that his fundraising campaigns since leaving office (combined with leftover cash from his 2020 campaign) have netted him at least $100 million. If anything, that's a low estimate of the money and other resources Trump could potentially command from his followers and allies.

Former President Donald Trump's political committees brought in $82 million during the first half of 2021 and have $102 million in the bank, according to federal filings made public Saturday evening. Trump has raised much of this money through questionable and perhaps illegal fundraising techniques targeting small donors, the most loyal and enthusiastic members of his political cult. These tactics include automatically reauthorizing one-time donations. His fundraisers have used threatening and harassing emails, promising both rewards for continued donations and negative consequences if the money stops flowing. Many details about the donations are concealed in blocks of small text that are difficult to read on a phone or computer screen.

I didn't even look at that, thanks for bring it up, however it seems your being deceptive for not posting the rest of the factcheck so to keep you honest I will take care of it for you!!!!!! Yes Salon is left leaning, however as the portion of the fact check you intentionally left out says the media source is Highly Credible and the information reported is mostly factual. The only reason the information reporting section received mostly factual is because this media source failed 1 fact check. Next time please at least post the entire factcheck, I check my sources of information, so I was aware of what you had done as soon as I saw your post!!:w00t::rofl:

Have a wonderful day!! Liar Lair Pants on fire!!

To be honest, Trump has used very little of the money he has raised, for said purpose of the money being raised.

Not a penny went to the Arizona audit he is concerned about, or any other state for that matter.

So if people are stupid enough to keep throwing money at a Billionaire thinking he is other than a con man, well go for it.

Oh, and don't forget to uncheck those recurring check boxes, of which they had to return $121,000,000 because of fraud complaints.

“Left leaning” ???? That an understatement. Salon is SO RADICAL LEFT that they publish articles in the defense of pedophilia. That’s about as left as you can go.

@Manwon Lender However what you posted is more of an opinion peice and not actual news.  And the real fact is he didn't steal money from his donors.

I certainly agree with you, and actually I expect a great deal of that money to go into his personal bank account!!

Trumps followers did give him 100million because they love him. Just like Socialist Democrat followers gave the socialist Democrats money because they thought it would get them free stuff.

You know a few months back someone got into an argument with me over this kind of media bias.

I said I used Reuters for my information, and they attacked me saying they were biased. Yet they are not. They report simply the news without a spin towards political leaning.

That's why whenever  I see a story I go to the Hill and see if they are running it there as well.  They are centrist and factual.

Well unlike the sites you have been posting where it is necessary to wear a Tin Foil Hat, that are listed as pure Propaganda, and Conspiracy theories. I will stick with a site with High Credibility and Mostly Factual information. Unlike you I do factcheck my sources before using them, so maybe you should consider that in the future!!

The secret on being factual while also being extreme on one side or the other is to ignore the facts you don't like.  That's why the factual part means less than the leaning part.  I always try to go for centrist.

Selected factual information.  Leaving something out is not a real lie, right?

Yes it appears there was an article published in 2015, and that really is terrible. However, it appears that they removed the articles and have stopped that behavior. But what I find interesting is that you again have used a site as your source that also promoted the same crime. But, not only that which is absolutely terrible, Breitbart is also a Extreme Right-Wing site see the factcheck below, like I told you you should factcheck your sources, especially before you try to throw stones!

Breitbart - Questionable Source - Right Bias - Conservative - Republican - Alt Right - Not Credible

Factual Reporting: Mixed - Not always Credible or Reliable

  • Overall, we rate Breitbart Questionable based on extreme right-wing bias, the publication of conspiracy theories and propaganda as well as numerous false claims.
  • Detailed Report

Reasoning: Extreme Right, Propaganda, Conspiracy, Failed Fact Checks
    Bias Rating: RIGHT
    Factual Reporting: MIXED
    Country: USA (45/180 Press Freedom)
    Media Type: Website
    Traffic/Popularity: High Traffic
    MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY

A US man has asked for people to accept him as a paedophile, claiming his “sexual orientation” does not make him a “monster.”

Todd Nickerson, a graphic designer from Tennessee, wrote a highly controversial piece for Salon in which he said his attraction towards children had driven him towards suicide for much of his life.

You obviously didn’t fact check anything.

Dude, that was 2015 six years, and that doesnt even come up on a fact check of the site. I must admit that is a crime I find absolutely disgusting and in my opinion its at the top of any list of crimes. However, the situation was corrected, but I agree it should have never happened.

But, since you brought it, I think I should also add that you use the BBC for sources of information and they also did the same thing are you aware of that??

Salon deleted its articles defending pedophilia, but the BBC is picking up the slack:  Salon deleted its articles defending pedophilia, but the BBC is picking up the slack – twitchy.com

BBC says Pedophilia is a perfectly fine Sexual Orientation:  BBC Says "Pedophile" Is A Perfectly Fine Sexual Orientation (yesimright.com)

So I must ask, with the information being so old how come you remember it so clearly, do you follow that kind of information for some reason??

I remember people saying they were tired of hearing about Obama a year after he left office and that he wasn't relevant anymore. Now I know how they felt.

Trump and his allies continue to pour donor money into Trump's businesses

In just the first six months of this year, dozens of Republican campaigns and political groups have together spent at least $750,000 at Trump properties, with nearly half of that coming from fundraising committees directly affiliated with or linked to Trump himself, according to federal and state campaign disclosure reports.

This guy spends up to $70,000 a year on his hair, and people are sending him money.

It sounds like motivation for the infamous Ted talk.  Was Nickerson ever charged?

No idea, I just remember the backlash when the article came out. I can't imagine he wasn’t at least ostracized.
