When the Taliban announced that the  31st was a “red lime” and that any extension beyond it would “provoke a reaction” Joe just took it like a chump. A bunch of 8th century sheep herders are going to trash talk the most powerful country in the world and take our people hostage? The correct response from Biden would have been “or what?” What are you gonna do about it?
 

I think Biden should have done some air strikes just for the Taliban saying that.

From what I’ve heard there is only one runway at this airport. The allied evacuation efforts could be completely scuttled with just a couple of mortar rounds.

They are  not stupid. They were probably in better position to know than people in DC. Like all Americans, they are free to choose, and like all people have to deal with the consequences of choice.   Some are embassy and other US  personnel that are civilians and have vital jobs until the last American is out.  Some are those WOKE individuals working for NGO's trying to fight for social justice in Afghanistan.  They haven't left because of their personal commitments. 

If they can't make it to the airport, they may have to be extracted another way.  Certainly you don't believe that all military plans and all negotiations are reported by FOX and CNN in up to the minute detail.  But in the end, all heroics outside of movies have limitations.  Some will not make it and may be killed or used as hostages.  We will see.

A day ago, there were 15k+ Americans that still couldn’t get to the airport and this was the biggest debacle in history.  Today, there are about 1500 Americans behind the lines and Bidet is responsible for the greatest airlift in history.  ??  Something not right.  Too much spin, not even reasonable.  And the Administration is trying to blame those Americans still left.  That is the ultimate in cowardice.  9/11 is coming up.  I’d hate to see some 3000 bound Americans brought onto the tarmac, lined up and at the signal, all are beheaded at the same time.  Reminiscent of what Saladin did to the Crusaders.
