Someone drilled a hole in a Russian part of the ISS.

This looks like a typical bizarre Russian attempt to avoid blame for what actually happened. Russia was conducting their own investigation on the ground but the results of this are yet to appear. 

The station was put in significant danger when the last Russian craft docked at the ISS and then its engine started unexpectedly.

I dare say they think this statement will divert attention from that serious incident.

That's not right. They landed no doubt. They just didn't release this footage is all.
