Eldorado Posted September 17, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2021 Australia could become the target of a nuclear strike by China following the security agreement with the US and UK which will lead to it acquiring a nuclear-powered submarine fleet. According to the Global Times, a newspaper viewed as a mouthpiece of the Communist Party in Beijing, Chinese military experts fear the vessels could be upgraded with a nuclear arsenal, despite assurances that they will only carry conventional weapons. Chinese military experts have supposedly warned of a potential strike on Australia, this was because, claims the Global Times, it would be relatively easy for Washington and London to equip the vessels with ballistic missiles carrying nuclear warheads. +OverSword Posted September 17, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2021 (edited) We're selling them nuclear powered submarines, not nuclear missiles. Shut up China. Sick of you crap. If we want to nuke you we'll do it with our subs not Australias. Edited September 17, 2021 by OverSword

With the US Sea-Based SSBN Submarines on constant patrol in the Indo-Pacific if China were to launch a Nuclear Strike, the US could easily retaliate and hit China almost immediately by using one of these Boomers that carry 6 Nuclear ICBMs per Submarine. Indo-Pacific: The front line of US and China next-gen submarines ""In the Indo-Pacific, the U.S., China, Russia and India operate SSBNs, while Pakistan and North Korea also are exploring submarine-launched nuclear firepower, albeit on diesel-electric subs."" ""The three components of American nuclear strategy are the land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles, the air-based strategic bombers and the submarine-launched ballistic missiles. Of the three, the sea-based SSBN is considered the most survivable because the vessels are virtually undetectable once in a deep ocean."" https://asia.nikkei.com/Politics/International-relations/Indo-Pacific/Indo-Pacific-The-front-line-of-US-and-China-next-gen-submarines Strategic Capabilities Cooperation The Secretaries and Ministers recognized that the operational effectiveness of the Alliance is underpinned by the strength of our cooperation on science, technology, strategic capabilities, and defense industrial base integration. The_Phantom_Stranger Posted September 18, 2021 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2021 I don't know why you would expect any less from China. It is obviously a troubled country. Up until just recently they were killing their baby girls to satisfy their government's mandatory number of children allowed in each family law. This is why Jesus says not to be troubled when there are rumors of war. Such things have to happen.

Eldorado Posted September 19, 2021 Author #10 Share Posted September 19, 2021 Australia has defended its decision to scrap a multi-billion dollar submarine purchase from France in favour of a new security pact with the US and UK. Prime Minister Scott Morrison rejected accusations that Australia had lied, saying France should have been aware it was prepared to break the deal. France says the Aukus pact has led to a "serious crisis" between the allies. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-58616759

aztek Posted September 22, 2021 #13 Share Posted September 22, 2021 (edited) could??? it absolutely is, always was, USSR made no secret of the countries it was aiming their nukes at. Australia always was on their list, which i'm sure is pretty much the same for every country, except themselves. however i was told by former ussr military officer, that even nuclear attacks on their own cities were not off the table in case of some parts of ussr were under occupation. things are not any different with Russia. as i'm sure it is on every nuclear power's target list. the location of Australia makes it a perfect target, that would be hit in the first days of war, whether they have nukes or not. whether it presents any threat or not, Edited September 22, 2021 by aztek
