I left at least in part because I couldn't stand the sanctimonious drivel of Brexiters like yourself. Everything I said at the time has come to pass, just quicker than anticipated.

If this is the case why still feel the need to defend the EU while trying to suggest every issue is down to brexit.

You sound like a Covid denier, covid has no effect on anything in UK, and take no interest in what's going on in your chosen home the EU. Especially if its not supporting an anti-brexit argument.

Estimated lorry driver shortage didn't cause any disruptions in supply chain in any other European country, only in the UK. 

It's not some inexplicable magic at work, it's your stupid Brexit having the exact consequences that the sane people were telling you about.

As corona comes to an end our economies are rallying way too fast, just like they plummeted off a cliff. So the need for truck drivers is increasing faster than what they can be employed. This might clip the heights of every ones corona rebounds. We need to get the military in to make up the shortfall of drivers in the short-term.

I`m interested in knowing how you can look at the lorry driver shortage map of Europe and conclude the driver shortage in the UK is down to Brexit.

Its obviously not reasoning based on any kind of known logic. What is Cornelius logic? 2 + 2 = 5?

Well I`m amazed you didnt mention Brexit.

The lorry driver shortage is planet wide, and rather than be critical of the UK Government ask what can the Government actually do? There is no short-term solution. We cannot steal another countries truck drivers as a solution in the short-term because it takes time to attract them in.

The only solution I can see is using the military to drive the trucks while companies recruitment.

The reason why foreign (mainly Eastern European) drivers won't be back is the bizarre Brexiter combo of nationalistic hostility and libertarian crap - Brexiters mistakenly think people elsewhere are so desperate they'll agree to come back to be spat upon and work for inadequate wages in uncertain and chaotic environment. They won't.

Yes it made me change my citizenship and driving license and I know of lots of people who can state the same, including two of my brothers who live in England.
I also stopped buying things from the UK, along with just about everyone I know.

Grocery store shelves are running low, construction materials have gone up four fold with at least a six month wait. Welding shops are repairing parts because no one can give you and answer on new supplies to run industries. Auto parts stores are almost empty. Six to eight month wait time on new appliances or furniture. 

On the bright side we seem to have plenty of gas and the liquor stores are full. Various beers are unavailable but there is still a wide selection.

Seriously, how many times do the FACTS need to be presented?

 

Europe’s road freight market short of more than 400,000 drivers

 

Poland are top of the list. France and Germany are up there with the UK. In fact their figures have been positively skewed with the drivers heading home from Britain.

As @and then pointed out above, it's also affecting other parts of the world for the same reasons... C.O.V.I.D.
