Silver Posted September 30, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2021 (edited) In a major change to policy, asylum seekers may be allowed to work. This may go a long way to solving our present labour crisis- we have several thousand asylum seekers arriving each week, so on a yearly basis we will come close to filling the vacancies in transport, agriculture and care work. And unlike the EU workers we have discouraged, the asylum seekers will be people we have chosen, to provide help in areas we have identified. And it will help the UK forge important trading links with the African and Middle Eastern countries. Prisoners too- the Mail article describes how vacancies could be filled by people who would obviously benefit from this change in policy. Employers would have to waive the current Criminal Records Checks of course, as they would always come up positive, but even that could be described as cost saving. Dominic Raab, the new justice secretary, has said he would be “open-minded” about allowing asylum seekers to work to help tackle the UK’s labour shortage. In what would be a major departure for the government, the former foreign secretary said such a move would allow people waiting for their claims to be processed to integrate and make a positive contribution to the UK. His comments, in an interview with the Spectator, have been welcomed by campaigners who have demanded for a change to current policies which leave many claimants destitute. Most asylum seekers are not allowed to work while their case is considered and instead rely on the government for their housing and essential living needs. Eldorado Posted September 26, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2022 It is "perfectly possible" foreign workers could be brought in to tackle labour shortages, a minister has said. Chloe Smith, the Work and Pensions Secretary, said a "blend" of migrants workers could help the economy, when asked if she anticipated visa restrictions would be relaxed on the agricultural and social care sectors. Ministers have been considering plans to relax visa restrictions on some foreign workers to tackle labour shortages and attract talent from across the world. However, Suella Braverman, the Home Secretary, is understood to be insisting that immigration must fall so the Government can meet its manifesto commitment to bring down net migration. Autistocrates Posted September 26, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 26, 2022 It only makes sense that EU citizens are no longer allowed to drive lorries. With such rules in place, there stands an opportunity for "asylum" seekers to drive these lorries on UK roads, instead. Allahu Akbar
Tatetopa Posted September 26, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 26, 2022 It is easier to be angry and hate foreign freeloaders if you don't allow them to work. Its harder to hate them when they are picking your fruit, cleaning your bathrooms, plucking your chickens, and taking care of grandpa in the old folks home.
Autistocrates Posted September 27, 2022 #8 Share Posted September 27, 2022 They are picking your fruit, cleaning your bathrooms and nursing Grandpa, only because employers refuse to properly pay citizens, who are fluent in the native language enough to know their labor rights and union-negotiated wage rates, to do these jobs. And not only menial jobs:

Allahu Akbar Yes, truly God is great for making giving vulnerable people the opportunity to make a new life for themselves here. Autistocrates Posted September 28, 2022 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2022 Thanks to Deathversity, it's gotten to the point to where reverse discrimination is planned to take place: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=remix+migrants+only+the+greens+plan+to+ban+organic+germans&t=h_&ia=web Quote ...In an effort to vastly increase the number of foreign-origin migrants in positions of local authority, a draft resolution brought by the city’s integration committee will ensure that the “target figure for all new hires is 30 percent.”...
