I have no doubt, but I would say that the way things are going it will be the next World War. Let's just hope that somehow better judgement and common sense will prevail.

The CCP is quite predictable.  They are old-guard communists who are just using capitalists to enrich and ready themselves for global domination.  They will NOT refrain from invasion unless they see a strong defense being mustered by the U.S.  IF this catastrophe happens every drop of blood will be on the current administration, whoever the hell is making the decisions for the old man who's sleep walking through DC...

IMO, the current crowd in DC, BOTH PARTIES, are evil.

If our Commander-in-Chief refuses to protect Taiwan, it will lead to some embarrassing questions for the Biden clan.

September 29, 2021:

”Hunter Biden still appears to hold an ownership stake in a Chinese government-linked firm that has invested in companies sanctioned by the United States despite repeated pledges  from President Joe Biden that his family would not have any foreign business ties and claims from White House press secretary Jen Psaki that Biden’s son was ending his investment.”

I dont understand why or even how you can put the blame for a Australian War with China on the United States. Australia is a member of the United Nations, and they are not responsible for Chinas actions. However, if Australia is attacked the United Nations through the use of its member Nations will retaliate against China. Hopefully this will not occur because it will create World War III, and the consequences will effect everyone globally.

The one they will get into for supporting Taiwan, but what else can Australia do. If Taiwan falls then Australia could be next, I mean China and Australia certainly dont get along very well anyway. As far as my previous comments are concerned I certainly should have been more clear, sorry about that.

There is no official response to Taipei yet.  Australia will blink when the USA does.

I hope they don't blink, China can't be allowed to push their aggressive nature to free Nations across East Asia. But, one thing is for certain, if China attacks Taiwan North Korea will back their play. In addition I think it's fairly possible that Russia will also support their actions on the World stage and within the United Nations. Like i said if Taiwan is attacked it will cause World War III, and the scary prospect of that is there will be little doubt that there will also be the use of Nuclear Weapons.:(

So let's hope for all concerned this doesn't happen.

No one officially recognises Taiwan as a free and independent nation.  The Chinese sent the planes as a response to the French.

Yes you are right No one officially recognizes Taiwan as a free and independent nation, but how important is officially recognized anyway:  However, a group of Nations around the world  known as The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance of China (IPAC) is made up of the following Nations:

1.  United States

2.  U.K.

3.  Australia

4.  Germany

5.  Canada

6.  Sweden

7.  Norway

8.  Japan

9.  Lithuania

I suppose that the real question we should focus on is, if Taiwan is attacked by China will the World just stand by and do nothing?

Why would The People's Republic of China attack The Republic of China?

Even if, why wait? It'll all be over in less than 12 hours... The "world" don't have the knees to bend with...

Taiwan is committed to defending its democracy against an increasingly aggressive China, the island’s president has vowed, warning of “catastrophic consequences” for the region should it fall.

The comments from Tsai Ing-wen, in an essay published on Tuesday, came amid record-breaking incursions by Chinese warplanes into its air defence zone. On Tuesday Taiwan’s premier, Su Tseng-chang, said the “over the top” activity violated regional peace, and Taiwan needed to be on alert.

Well I don't think Taiwan would agree that they are part of the People's Republic of China. I believe the only way that they are part of China is if they defeated Militarily, and yes it could be over in much less that 12 Hours. However, China has been threading to take Taiwan for the last 76 years, and Taiwan is still free, so what's stopping China from getting it over with?

At least try to find out, it's not like it's some greatest secret in the world, you don't even need to scratch at anything...

Changed it to avoid being confused with the PRC, as if you didn't know, so dishonest of you.

Its a weird spot right.

Like we all consider Taiwan is a independent free nation.

But at the same time we think that if we give China room to save face by not officially recognizing Taiwan that China will not invade them.

Neither said wants an armed conflict but both still wants to be able to show they are supporting their stance.

Its almost like dealing with a guy with a super fragile ego lol.

Life is stranger than fiction sometimes.

The same could be said any time UN Veto Power is used.

Nah, they’ll consolidate across the pacific first, all the debts due to belt and road initiatives being called in, mysterious retirements and deaths and pro-China governments being appointed.
They’ll want to cut us off from the US first. Lots of guns in the water between us and US.
They’ll then try economic control before outright militarism. Australia is a big place, it’s not China big, obviously, but there’s a lot of land to cover. Easier to cripple and control through economics.

Hi OverSword

China is a country and the name is on the passport which would indicate that it is a part of the Republic of China

No.  It would not.  There is no country called China.  There is the People's Republic of China, and there is Taiwan Republic of China.  Two different places  Look at a map of Africa.  There is a country called the Republic of Congo.  Right next to it is a country called the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Are they the same country?  Does one government have the right to both nations?  My country is not America, it is the United States of America.

Hi OverSword

We are not talking about Africa, show me on a map that there is a Republic of China and a Peoples Republic of China even with my somewhat tarnished memory there has only ever been one country that has been shown to be China and oh look their name is on the Taiwanese passport
