St Andrews university sets bias test for entry

We should bear in mind the author of the OP article (Nicola Woodcock) is concerned that allowing state educated children to attend Oxford and Cambridge universities is "social engineering", designed to deprive privately educated children their rightful places at the elite universities. If you think education should be the privilege of the wealthy only, fine. From another of her articles :

The recruitment by Oxford and Cambridge of more state pupils has led to private-school parents claiming that their children are being edged out by “social engineering”, a leading head teacher has said.

Anthony Wallersteiner, head of Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, said that access and participation plans had “successfully driven down the number of Oxbridge places awarded to privately educated pupils”.

e.g. It says there is a module on climate change. What if you're asked to agree that climate change is man made & you don't believe it is. Should you be thrown out of university for that? yes or no?

Not thrown out of university neccesarily, but it would raise questions about your ability to understand science. How could you study climate change without studying the subject? Go on a hunch? Read Facebook posts?

Or why indeed would one have to pass a module on the subject to gain entry to uni. if it wasn't your subject?

But you only think they're being stopped from going to a university because of their opinion.

You still haven't seen a single example of the things they're apparently being asked to agree with.

What if you're asked to agree it's not real at all and just 'weather'?
