When asked why the track had been removed from the setlist, guitarist Keith Richards told the LA Times: "You picked up on that huh?

"I don't know. I'm trying to figure out with the sisters quite where the beef is. Didn't they understand this was a song about the horrors of slavery? But they're trying to bury it."

As far back as 1995, Jagger told Rolling Stone Magazine interview: "I never would write that song now... I would probably censor myself."

I know that when I hear, 'Ah, get on, brown sugar, how come you taste so good?... Just like a black girl should, yea', from the 20-something-year-old Rolling Stones, whose main emblem just happens to be:

...obviously the first thing I think about is slavery....   Hahaha, good one, nice try, Keef.

Still a good tune tho.

Not their best song.     I recently watched  " The Rolling Stones Totally Stripped ".     It's GREAT !   sort of a musical documentary featuring them LIVE in several smaller venues...but, the best part is them playing acoustically in a studio.   !!!*!**  some really beautiful acoustic guitar playing from Keith Richards and Ron Woods.   Great base player!   And Charlie is Amazing.  So simple and perfect!!      Mick's cool too. :P
