itsnotoutthere Posted October 14, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2021 Frustrated drivers shouted “why aren’t you at work?” and dragged Insulate Britain activists out of the road as they tried to block Dartford Crossing. Eco-warriors Insulate Britain returned to block motorists on the M25 after setting fire to their Government issued injunction papers outside the High Court. Around 40 members blocked the M25 at Junction 31 and the London Road A1090 near the Dartford Crossing at 8.30am on Wednesday. Irate lorry drivers moved to yank the activists by their arms and legs out of the road before police could arrive. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/insulate-britain-protest-m25-dartford-crossing-b960218.html?itm_source=Internal&itm_channel=section_banner&itm_campaign=breaking-news-ticker&itm_content=3 Well, it's a legitimate question. itsnotoutthere Posted October 15, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted October 15, 2021 An Insulate Britain protester who blocked busy roads as part of climate change demonstrations has come under fire after it was revealed she embarked on a 81,000 mile trip across the globe in a diesel-fulled Toyota. Emma Smart, 44, was charged with obstructing traffic in Weymouth and Dorchester as part of a climate change protest in May this year She was also pictured sitting cross-legged alongside other eco protesters as they blocked the roads near the M25 at Dartford. However the eco protester, who previously worked as biologist, has now come under fire after it was revealed she and her partner Andy drove 80,975 miles visiting 50 countries in 858 days in an 18-year-old Toyota from 2012 to 2016. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/travel/news/insulate-britain-protester-drove-4x4-on-81-000-mile-jaunt/ar-AAPxzRR?ocid=BingHp01
Essan Posted October 15, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2021 (edited) And they did that at a time when concerns about climate change and the need to cut carbon emission were in the news every day ...... So no excuse that they were unaware at the time. Basically, they've shat in their own beds, for their own personal gratification, and now they are demanding someone else deals with it. The epitome of arrogance and selfishness Edited October 15, 2021 by Essan 2
Silver Posted October 19, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2021 (edited) I find Insulate Britain protestors so arrogant, stupid and annoying, I would be likely to refuse to get my house insulated in protest against them! I also keep thinking I can see the smug, sanctimonious Corbyn brothers involved in it (is that Piers sitting in the road?). I really empathise with this poor woman: Edited October 19, 2021 by The Silver Shroud
