COVID-19 pass becomes mandatory for all workers in Italy

COVID-19 health passes - or "green passes" - are now compulsory for all workers in Italy.

The rule was approved by Prime Minister Mario Draghi's cabinet in mid-September, forcing all workers to show either proof of vaccination, a negative test within the previous 48 hours, or recent recovery from infection.

The certification is mandatory and applies to public and private workplaces, with both employees and employers risking fines if they don't comply.

So... labor shortages will increase.  Supply-chain issues will worsen and that will slow economic growth.  And Draghi's government must understand this.  The question I have for those who approve of these measures is simple.  When the economies in the west become so damaged that they're in danger of imminent failure, what changes are you willing to accept from the government?  Most pro-Covid vax people seem to think the situation justifies these actions but when the inescapable downturns and failures come, does it ever occur to them that the NEXT government actions may not be to THEIR liking?  

Western governments are trying to create a system that's similar to the Chinese Social Credit model.

There are multiple pieces on this and many downplay the significance.  The Italians, French, Germans, and a fast-growing number of Americans are mobilizing against this dangerous power-grab.  The idea that ANY person who grew up with any level of autonomy would cheerfully accept such restrictions by government simply horrifies me

I expect most people will just end up getting the vaccination rather than, y'know, starve themselves and their families.
