I work in the aluminum industry and they are already giving us big incentives to get vaccinated. Not to mention companies that are doing their own programs.

I work in Construction and the same thing is happening.  We still do our job without any delays and noone got fired nor is there a backlog.

Yes actually, some of our material is having issues so we have to order farther in advance.  I have seen some other trades suffer because they get stuff from overseas.  I believe air conditioner controls was an issue for a company and I have heard a rival company get delayed because another contractor was having issues installing the roof.

A disclaimer though,  I work primarily for power plants, chemical plants, and the like.  Since they are more critical, I think they source more locally for parts or since an outage is involved the engineers don't schedule any maintenance that they don't have material on hand for.

As for people, we get them from a union hall and they are hovering around the full employment range.  We aren't really hiring right now because it is the winter slow down (and getting a lay-off is the closest we get to getting a paid vacation for the holiday season).  There will be freeze issues that will pop up I am sure.

Seriously?  He is trying to tear our society and culture down in order to build back with a Marxist utopia.  He is pitting Americans against each other.  How do you view his performance in the last 10 months?  He starts out killing our energy independence and getting rid of some of the highest skilled labor this nation has to offer.  Now he’s looking at shutting down another pipeline, even while OPEC turns down his request for more oil.  He’s foisting CRT and 1619 to demoralize us.  Attacking masculinity.  He has literally turned his back on Americans in Afghanistan.  And now, on the verge of a multi trillion boondoggle that will utterly destroy this nation.

 

He is milking this plandemic in order to beat people down to accept the new order, but many are refusing the new order.  This mandate is only the beginning.  He is paying people to not work in the first place and he will add to it by imposing other mandates.  One for children, one for first booster, one for the next booster ad infinitum.  What do you think will happen to those that already have had the first or second shots that now have buyer’s remorse?  Either they had an adverse reaction or they know of someone that has, perhaps even died from this experimental drug.  They have vowed not to take another.  They will willingly leave their jobs and pensions.  And then when you start messing with the children, parents will start pulling their kids from school and one parent will need to leave the workforce for home schooling.  He won’t be done with just that.  He’ll impose an equity mandate to force employers to fire half of their white male workforce, to favor more minorities.  After foisting that first mandate on business and individuals, what won’t he be able to decree on us?  This will be tens of millions out of the workforce.  The numbers in the workforce are dwindling.  How do you think we’ll be able to pay for that Green New Deal thingy?  Just print billions of more money and watch inflation skyrocket.  Do you like high gas prices?  High food prices?  Empty shelves?  More of this is in your future and will never improve in a Marxist state.  This is the Smails Exhortation.

 

You are giving a tyrant the strength to enslave us.  He has (actually goes back to Obama) weaponized the government to go after the people (not protect them).  These alphabet agencies are protecting the regime and have been for the past 13 years.  He has opened the border to flood in and dilute our culture.  He is bringing in crime, drugs, poverty, and sickness and no expectation to assimilate.  Assimilation is key to a sovereign nation.  He has enabled our enemies across the globe and has betrayed our allies.  He is not respected and is a weak leader.  That creates instability.  Yet too many are still quaffing the Kool-Aid.

 

Do you know what the Cultural Revolution was?  It was basically the eradication of Chinese culture in favor of fundamental change.  Creating a new state which does not guarantee or protect the natural rights of its citizens.  The Red Guard (students) went around rioting and tearing down cultural icons like statues.  They neutralized opposition through violence and cancel culture.  Exactly what is going on here now right before our eyes.  Do you listen to the voices of ex Cubans, Russians, Chinese, East Germans, etc.?  They all say the same thing.  That what they saw happening in their old country is happening here and that after here, there is no other place to go.  The red states will continue to hold out and those that have lost their jobs will migrate to them to start anew and will find prosperity and a rearrangement electorally.  The Left will guarantee that only Conservatives will be elected for now and beyond.

 

No, Bidet is not trying to preserve the Constitution.  If you paid any attention to their words (you always need to listen to the words of dictators as they will tell you exactly what they plan), they want to get rid of the Bill of Rights and either rewrite or out right repeal the Constitution.  The good news is that all of this madness can be fixed (and must be fixed before a complete collapse).  The winds of political change are always changing and the pendulum is swinging back.  We need to return to energy independence, finish the wall, nix CRT, reinstitute the 1776 project, return the power of parents to dictate what their kids learn in school, return prosperity and strength to this nation, continue to engage our enemies and allies, and America first.  We do this, we will be well on our way back.  It doesn’t have to be Trump to lead us, but who else is out there capable of taking on this task?  Under Trump, he cut taxes and cut regulation and today, revenue is up.  Revenue next year will be mediocre.  Trump lowered the unemployment rate, increased the workforce participation and mean household income.  We can get back to that again.  Trump’s words are, “The Art of the Deal”, MAGA, and return power back to the people and the states.  Are those words of a dictator?  Well is it?

The person I was replying to was complaining about inflation and how 'mandates' are a cause of that, if you want to defend that claim then please proceed.  Why are mandates going to cause people to starve, is that what your media is telling you now?  What happened to picking yourself up by your bootstraps, land of opportunity, etc?

Seems to me it was conservatives who put in the Patriot Act with its provision to suspend private ownership of guns, repeal Habeus Corpus and a number of other items listed in the Bill of Rights.  Starts to seem like the parties are collaborating on demolishing rights.

Excuse me?!  Those bills are dripping with Socialism, or to be more precise, Marxist, even Maoist.  What do you think happens to an economy when you spend more money than you have?  What happens to an economy when you print more money causing hyper inflation?  This is what they do in Socialist countries.  100 million+ have lost their lives due to such policy.

It was conservatives who abolished a more-or-less workable tax system and gave the money to Trump's ultra-rich buddies.  The solution to the problem is to replace the current tax bill with one that is fairer and places more-even tax burdens on everybody.  The conservatives created the problem and now they don't want to fix it.

You are misinformed.  What's those stats (again)?  The top 1% of earners pay about 40% of the tax burden.  And the bottom 50% pay nothing.  Do you think that is fair?  Does that place a more-even tax burden on everyone?  Conservatives cut taxes for everyone (people that have more skin in the game get more back - that is just physics), making everyone more prosperous and increased revenues.  How much money and favors are Bidet giving China and Russia?
