You can't even tell the Qin from your chin, but hey, as long you're fine with your faith that floats, go HoHoHo your Merry Christmas...

~

And none of which is yours or what you want, China will simply still be China.

~

Well... That's propaganda 101 stuck in between the Cuba nuclear crisis and poor ol 'Jack with his brains blown out in Dallas and still missing to this very day.

Yeah, just like on that movie set where Alec said he was told...

Camera! Lights! Action!

Sorry you died ...

Business back to usual...

~

It is business as usual for us. Not the first Asian superpower that got too big for it's britches we've dealt with and with the same weaknesses. We could shut the Chinese economy down without firing a shot, just like depriving a piglet of it's mother's teet. Have fun in the land of the disappearing Billionaires.

Superpower you say?

Very kind of you but no thanks, you keep that honorific crown for yourself and stare at your own image in the mirror all day for the rest of your life if you must.

The rest of the world have better things to do.

Well, you keep telling yourself that, and your "we" are not doing that because your teets are made for suckling and the nibbling gives your way of life meaning.

Incipient, perhaps, but a nascent superpower, none-the-less. China doesn't even speak for it's southern barbarians, much less the rest of the world. It speaks with the five tongues of the imperial dragon and confuses itself.

Now you're just babbling due to desperation, since when has China even indicated that they speak for anyone except China, you and your ilk however, sorry to say, never learn...

You're mistaking your version of dragons and Black Prince as similar to the China Imperial five claw Dragon...

Quote

The form of rank and importance became formalised in the Yuan period (1279-1367) when three-clawed (princely), and five-clawed (Imperial) dragons first appear in jade and porcelain before male and female Imperial beasts were conjoined in symbolic Imperial union in the early Ming.

~

2 Dec 2013 — One of the earliest symbolic motifs from antiquity which continued to have resonance was the ultimate symbol of power, the dragon...

~

It's all symbolism just in case you start hallucinating about it being as real like your mythical dragons that carries virgins off so your legendary heroes of lore can go slaughter them and save the "world"

Celestial serpents are a big deal among Native Americans, as well, as is ancestor veneration. "Dragon" was an unfortunate translation, but we're stuck with it. Why, Chinaman, you spoke for the rest of the world in post 27. Your kind has always been high on itself.

And that's Chinese to you, only in America you find a Chinaman and no where else.

Their military and their holdings of US paper may not be such a concern.

What might be more of a concern could be the 200,000 containers of freight parked in the ocean outside the port of LA. All products produced by several hundred million people working for $2 an hour in Chinese factories.  Those goods are the lifeline  for all the $7-$11 dollar an hour people working on farms, and in factories and service industries here.  We have set up our own labor force to need the cheap food, clothing, and housewares. How happy do you think they will be with any US government that throws them deeper into poverty and want?   It won't do wonders for the conservatives that tell them to just eat cake either.

If you don't like our words, don't talk to us Chinaman, especially since your word for foreigners is an insult. I will give China credit for it's greatest and most widespread contribution to humanity; toilet paper. We can't take a dump without thanking China.

Not quite accurate, the phrase for foreigners is "wai guo ren" which literally means "outside country people"

As for the insult, I am guessing you mean "gwai lo" or ghost fella, that's Cantonese, and it's only reserved for you "white" devils, from Hong Kong with love.

Which like it or not, is entirely accurate, historically speaking. And something you "foreigners" back in the days were most proud of.

Use that wisely, your "we" needs it in a month or so to print higher debt ceilings and pay for your country to not go bankrupt, as corrupt as it already is...

Merry Christmas

A smart move, they're important allies and it's essential to make it known that if China ****s with them, there will be trouble. Especially given the amount of computer chips we get from them these days.

It’s Sabre rattling, worse it’s poorly done Sabre rattling, done solely to appease the “we hate China” crowd in America.
Youcan tell how meaningless it was in how quickly the Queen of Circling Back walked back his comments.

I’m well aware that it only sounds like a big number abd it could be easily paid …. If Congress agreed to pay it. What are the odds of that, though? It would be a little frustration, just a small thing to needle and annoy. And it would be a telling move to see how Joe reacts.

Congress would agree to pay it with little issue, few might object but nothing serious as the damage to the nation as a whole would far outweigh any potential political gain.

The bigger issue would be how the world would react to such a move.  The damage done to America by calling in the debt would essentially be zero to negligible but the damage to China on the other hand would be massive.  China largely keeps their economy hidden, they release reports on the state of the economy after the CCP approves them but from what I understand its generally accepted those reports arent accurate and the true state of the economy is generally hidden.  So China calling in the debt would terrify nations that China's economy is about to completely collapse and that damage would be significant.

for many it is no longer "we hate china" it's " we hate current establishment" , actually trump exposed the swamp, and now we see, china is only doing what anyone would do given the circumstances, but it is OUR gvmnt that gives those circumstances, and enriches and empowers china, at our expense.  our enemy isn't china, it is someone much closer, and at the same time far far away from public view

Trump would do it. He'd have every ship in the Pacific over there ASAP. Probably conquer Hong Kong and bombard the coastal cities. The war likely wouldn't be very long.

China still doesn't have parity with the US military. Even just a projected US military will reduce their navy to reef building materials.

Won't happen though. China won't risk it. Even when their economy collapses due to their real estate market bubble. At least I hope they don't. It would be nation level suicide. Even under "Ehhh, what?" Joe.

i would not be so sure about it, iran captured our navy crew without a single shot, and no one from usn came to their recue, us even denied it happened at first, it was under obama, we have even worse guy in WH today.

i do agree, we have every capability to do that, but our military's hands tied by anti-American liberal politicians,
