I’ll let you know. Yes, please tell us all about the creature! 😁 Is this a striped skunk (Mephitis mephitis)? I am reading about them now, and there are twelve species of skunks, I didn't know that. 🤓

simplybill Posted June 23 #787 Share Posted June 23 Currently on a road trip in Wyoming, USA. The largest ranch in Wyoming is 560,000 acres. It’s really awe-inspiring to travel the 2-lane highways through those vast, uncluttered stretches of prairie. Besides cattle, the grasslands are home to pronghorn antelope, deer, wild horses and bison.

8th_wall Posted June 29 #792 Share Posted June 29 I think the final analysis on nature has it in the following that can be interpreted both sarcastically and literally, to mean, it is wholesome (mother nature is a far greater monster in her chaotic deterministic fashion than the hydra dragon monster Tiamat slain by God, the archetypal hero: From 30 seconds onwards, "Look at that sun ..." https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSY9hEFc3/ Even the turmoil of nature is not enough to alleviate one of his awesome grateful one is to be consumed with the meaning of life, to be alive, in the action of the forum! Just kidding I have a bluebird box 100' from my house. Not as pretty as those guys, but it's nice having them.
mestlc Posted July 8 #796 Share Posted July 8 I have to wonder if this is why people that live in cities are often more prone to drug addiction, anxiety, depression, etc. because they are so far removed from nature. Like sure, most major cities will have parks but is that actually enough to offset things? Also the pollution in cities is crazy. Air pollution and just garbage all over the streets. I don't know about any of you guys but anything beyond a suburban area is too far removed from nature for me. I grew up across the street from a park and still live right near one.

People who live in cities are surrounded by other people living in cities. When is the last time you ever saw a drug dealer hanging out on the corner of where Highway 20 meets Highway 26 in Wyoming? 1

I meant prone to getting hooked on drugs, not running into dealers. A lot of people turn to drinking and drug abuse to avoid feelings of anxiety and depression. Most cities are depressing unless you live in one of the closed off wealthy areas. But maybe that is not the case for everyone. I am sure some people love living in cities.
