How Do I Get Single Line-Spacing on Android?

acute

Recommended Posts

Hello, Good People of UM,

Does anyone know how I can get a single line-spacing on UM, using Android's Google Keyboard?

'Rich Text' adds a space by default, but sometimes a New Line is all that's required.

(BTW... I discovered how to do a New Line on my laptop with Shift-Enter, but it eludes me on my phone)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and possibly given a 'like' — although I can't guarantee it. :w00t:

Away with ya!  You know I was joking. :innocent:

Imagine you are writing an email.....

If you press Enter, you get a new line to type on.

On UM (with Rich Text enabled in the Status Update settings) you get a blank line, then a new line below that.

I wouldn't have survived in the private security sector, twithought any knowledge of computer skills.

Although I can't make a logo or anything with images, but I can hack and get information I need, not as good as my team members but still half decent.

Just want a normal life now, but you know that mate.

I posted the clarification for the dozens of people who have chipped in with suggestions.

On your Android phone, tap the Edit icon at the top of your screen, and then tap Paragraph Formatting under Home. Tap the Line Spacing menu and choose the line spacing you want, from 1.0 to 3.0. In your Word document, select the text you want to change.

Hi @acute

On iPhone:

If I write this and press return immediately after the period.(here)

Then I get a single line space like that.

If I write this and add a single space after the period and then press return. (here)
Then there is no line spacing like this.

Does that work for you on Android?

Thanks for that. It's mind-blowing! :w00t:

It's way too late for me to work that out, but I'm very grateful for the suggestion, and I'll try it tomorrow. :tu:
