Think about it, why would they?

Anyone coming here would have already been studying us, they would see how multiculturalism is an abysmal failure on this planet the last thing they would want to be involved with is multi-species-culturalism.

One where they would be accused of Alien supremacy, systemic speciesism,  where their children would be taught in school to hate their species, where they have human hiring quotas, and diversity and inclusion policies in their work places that intentionally discriminate against them,  where diversity and inclusion policies in higher learning institutions will not allow them to attend because their grades averages will be to high, and if mentally ill humans identify as one of their species they must accept them as one of their own.

I would expect them to be flying by looking out their window shaking their head saying oh hell no, and move on to the next inhabited planet

James Randy was very cool. I believe in some of what he was trying to disprove, how ever Uri was a big con man and Randy proved that. Uri is outta money or his spoon bending museum is light on foot traffic..

So basically he's tinkerbell and needs everyone to believe in him or it won't work.

While it is very excuse-y, it could also conceivably be true. Have you ever sat in a room full of miserable old sods bring miserable? How long did it take for you to also be miserable? In fact, how long did it take you to notice the mood of the room?
