We can assume that a lot of low class citizen probably didn't have house made of rocks and where scattered a bit farther of the main city all the way to Winay Waina and the luna temple.

More common folks homes... I don't know if you live in a mansion but i don't. The same for most of the Inca, commoners where living out of the big city center in small homes. So city where way bigger than the stone ruins we found.

In a world where almost all things done are done by hand by a person working in concert with many others it is pretty amazing the level of civilization that those ancient managed to offer to their upper level people. Their one major limitation was how far they could transport food before they started losing too much of it to waste and spoilage...I also can’t imagine how they would have handled the “waste” of that many people in a safe and sanitary fashion. That is probably in part what led to them having an average life expectancy of around 35 years.
