Giant Asian Hornets Not So Easily Conquered

I've been casually following this influx into the pacific north west and I dismissed it, at first. The seem to be thriving, spreading and what they're known for...decimating honey bee colonies. They literally just bully themselves into nests, decapitate the bees and move on; pretty gruesome stuff, insect or human. Now, they're realizing that some of the hornets they thought they'd eradicated actually escaped and became queens of other nests and perhaps caused them to spread farther than they would, otherwise.

I see them spreading to California and Southwestern states in the not too distant future, that's typically how it works
