The Telegraph seems to have turned its guns on Johnson over the last few months, starting with its description of Brexit as being likely to be seen as "an historic failure". I wonder who they have in mind to replace him? Liz "Brain of Britain" Truss or Dishi Rishi perhaps?

Carrie Johnson, the Prime Minister's wife, was photographed breaking Covid-19 social distancing rules days after the public was warned that it was "critical" to follow the guidance, The Telegraph can disclose.

Despite Boris Johnson's warning that "you should keep your distance from anyone you don't live with", Mrs Johnson, 33, was pictured embracing a close friend while the pair celebrated the friend's engagement at a private members' club in London's West End.

The pair seemingly shared a joke as they posed for the camera while sitting next to each other on a sofa on the club's outdoor roof terrace. 

Mrs Johnson appeared to have her arm around the friend, Anna Pinder, and one of her legs draped over her leg. Ms Pinder's hands were clasped together in her lap.

The chief executive of Sheffield City Council must resign over revelations that she hosted a lockdown party, a former leader of the council has said.

Kate Josephs, who led the government's Covid-19 taskforce, held leaving drinks in the Cabinet Office in December 2020, it emerged on Friday.

Lord Paul Scriven, Lib Dem leader of Sheffield Council from 2008 to 2011, said Ms Josephs must now stand down.

He said her admission left him in "disbelief and anger".

Sir Keir Starmer should 'stand up, shoulder it' and refer himself for investigation after video footage emerged of him enjoying a drink with colleagues at the height of last year's lockdown, Tories have said.

The Labour leader has been accused of 'brazen hypocrisy' after he was caught drinking beer with several staff members on April 30 last year, when people were banned from socialising inside with someone from another household under 'step two' of the lockdown.

Footage clearly shows Sir Keir holding a bottle while chatting with a woman – believed to be Labour MP Mary Foy – in her constituency office in Durham.

TBF, this photo appeared months ago. He is having lunch with one other person in a constituency meeting. It is another dead cat, part of Operation Big Dog.  I like the idea Operation Big Dog, junior staff have to heroically resign, and senior staff have to appear in the media listing Johnson's 'achievements  (won't take them long). We can expect to hear the word 'vaccine' on a daily basis, with suble hints that Johnson personally discovered it and delivered it.

See, this is a major reason as to why party politics doesn’t work, it’s all points scoring.

The people who hold this information have clearly had such knowledge and corroborating evidence for months/years and just sat on it, ammunition to be used when the time is right.

None of this has anything to do with what’s right or wrong, just opportunities for the opposition to undermine each other.

I think when the first instances came to light, Boris should have come forwards and declared all his lockdown transgressions.  He did not, and I think his time is up, but it’s not public opinion that’s going to force him out.  Boris has and always will think himself bulletproof.
