They are particularly concentrated in the county of Wiltshire, where a treasure trove of ancient history includes the Neolithic sites of Stonehenge and Avebury – both crop circle hotspots. Carving artwork into the landscape is an age-old tradition in these parts; chalk horses adorn eight hillsides in Wiltshire; while the UK’s oldest geoglyph, the stunning Bronze Age Uffington White Horse, sits just across the border in Oxfordshire. Reports of mysterious patterns appearing in wheat, barley and corn fields in the area began to circulate in the 1970s, but it was in the late ’80s that the phenomenon exploded. papageorge1 Posted January 21, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2022 I am fascinated by the crop circle phenomenon and am quite convinced living humans are not behind at least the better ones from reports and biological anomalies within the circles. The intent seems benign. peaceful, positive and creative so we should be grateful for these. So, who could it be? My leading theory is indeed aliens. They should not be seen as necessarily bad guys. Claims of "biological anomalies" are vacuous stories with no supporting evidence. The fascinating part of the crop circle art movement is that it has caused so many bizarre ideas in those only willing to exclude rational explanations. Look at some of the goofy ideas in this article. Quote Was this the nexus for some kind of potent Earth energy? The process was explained to me as follows by circle maker Dene Hine: “Circle makers make a formation; drone pilot flies the formation; [they then use] social media platforms to spam all the pages with videos. Is/Are some human(s) making them to impress somebody enough to mate with them? Is a courtship routine that involves rolling around on the ground for days that happens to create the circles?
