England’s crop circle controversy

Eldorado

Recommended Posts

Although such formations have appeared worldwide, from California to the rice paddies of Indonesia, south-west England is the world capital of crop circles. They are particularly concentrated in the county of Wiltshire, where a treasure trove of ancient history includes the Neolithic sites of Stonehenge and Avebury – both crop circle hotspots.

Carving artwork into the landscape is an age-old tradition in these parts; chalk horses adorn eight hillsides in Wiltshire; while the UK’s oldest geoglyph, the stunning Bronze Age Uffington White Horse, sits just across the border in Oxfordshire.

Reports of mysterious patterns appearing in wheat, barley and corn fields in the area began to circulate in the 1970s, but it was in the late ’80s that the phenomenon exploded. Circles began to appear more frequently and became far more ornate: some resembled trippy fractals; others rune-like hieroglyphs; others stylised animals recalling those of the Nazca Lines in Peru.

I am fascinated by the crop circle phenomenon and am quite convinced living humans are not behind at least the better ones from reports and biological anomalies within the circles.

The intent seems benign. peaceful, positive and creative so we should be grateful for these. So, who could it be? My leading theory is indeed aliens. They should not be seen as necessarily bad guys.

Clearly, all crop circles are made by people. There is nothing unusual with the crops at the sites. Claims of "biological anomalies" are vacuous stories with no supporting evidence.

The fascinating part of the crop circle art movement is that it has caused so many bizarre ideas in those only willing to exclude rational explanations.

Look at some of the goofy ideas in this article.

Was this the nexus for some kind of potent Earth energy?

created by an extra-terrestrial intelligence attempting to warn humanity about climate change, nuclear war and similar existential threats

So it appears that art of this nature makes money.

To some, this supports the theory that crop circles are nothing more than a money-making enterprise between the hoaxers, farmers and photographers. The process was explained to me as follows by circle maker Dene Hine: “Circle makers make a formation; drone pilot flies the formation; [they then use] social media platforms to spam all the pages with videos. Each video can make £500 from YouTube alone.”

Mating rituals cannot be ruled out...

"The Mystery of Underwater Crop Circles, Explained

They’ve been called the crop circles of the ocean floor—seven-foot diameter patterned circles that were first spotted in 1995 off the coast of southern Japan. But their origin was an enigma, and local divers termed them “mystery circles.”

The mystery persisted until 2011 when the culprit, a male pufferfish just five inches long, was finally caught in the act. And recently scientists studied the process of how the species creates these elaborate designs in order to woo females."

Mating rituals of what?

Doesn't seem plausible at all.

Humans?

While that's much more plausible than aliens, what exactly are you thinking of?

Is/Are some human(s) making them to impress somebody enough to mate with them?

Is a courtship routine that involves rolling around on the ground for days that happens to create the circles?

Are we only talking about the small, uncomplicated ones or the massive, highly artistic geometric ones as well?

It's vandalism.  And if the farmer whose crop they've destroyed is struggling to make ends meet it's horrible vandalism.

Well when a xenomorph loves a human. They first need to get their attention. Curiosity often works. Then once they have them. They give them the deepest tongue kiss possible. And that's how chestbursters are born.

The bluehead chub in our area build pyramids in stream beds one rock at a time often moving rocks nearly as big as their heads. These structures become orgy centers for many species of fish.
