Idaho officials are asking Mike Lindell to stop lying about their election results

Officials in Idaho have sent a cease-and-desist letter to MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, demanding that he stop pushing baseless claims that there was widespread voter fraud in their state.

In October 2021, the Idaho secretary of state's office announced that they did a manual review and recount of ballots based on Lindell's claims, but found no merit in them. Idaho Chief Deputy Secretary of State Chad Houck commented then that the state would be sending Lindell a bill for the costs of the vote recount

Here's the website Idaho is concerned about after checking his claims: https://thebiglie.frankspeech.com/IDAHO/index.html

And here is a website to an IP locator: https://www.iplocation.net/

One I checked was Microsoft corporation

And the other was Amazon.com

Maybe they need to send him a bill for the cost of that recount.  That would shut him up.

They did. And he hasn't taken the website down or cease talking about it.

The thing is, what he has claimed of Idaho been proven to be a lie, and that is covered under free speech as long as it breaks no laws as ruled by the Supreme court.

But if people started injuring or murdering election officials in these states, and the assailant says it was because of what Mike Lindell has presented then he needs to be held libel.

That would shut him up.

There is enough hate in the political world that wouldn't hold up in court. All that would be needed is the trail on his computer like with the Congressional baseball practice shooting. If that was the case then about a third of the people here, calling for Trump & Co to be tried for treason, could be considered an accessory. Anybody on those hate sites would be too.

Motives

Hodgkinson had participated in the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign during the 2016 United States presidential election, and was described by a fellow campaigner in Iowa as a "quiet guy, very mellow, very reserved".[54][56]

Republican Congressman Mike Bost, who represents Hodgkinson's home district, said Hodgkinson had contacted his office ten times, but "never with any threats, only anger".[54][57]

He wrote 27 letters to the editor of the Belleville News-Democrat between March 2008 and September 2012 on various political and economic topics, many of which were anti-Republican.[58]

On May 22, Hodgkinson wrote "Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It's Time to Destroy Trump & Co." above his repost of a Change.org petition demanding "the legal removal" of Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for "treason". He belonged to numerous political Facebook groups, including those named "Terminate the Republican Party", "The Road To Hell Is Paved With Republicans", and "Donald Trump is not my President."[59]

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, which took over the investigation, said on June 14 that it was too early to ascribe a motive for the shootings.[4] It put out a request for public assistance with "any information regarding Hodgkinson".[50]

On June 16, USA Today reported, citing an anonymous source, that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) found a list of names, including those of Republican Congressmen Mo Brooks, Jeff Duncan and Trent Franks, in Hodgkinson's pocket.[60]

On June 21, FBI agent Timothy Slater said the names of six congressmen were written on a piece of paper found in an Alexandria storage locker rented to Hodgkinson. He said it did not appear to be a hit list, and that its significance was unclear.[61][62]

I think they should remind him that the only proven fraud was sponsored and put in motion by member of the Republican Party and Trumps mouth piece Rudy Giuliani which means Trump was involved also. The Attorney General of the United States is in the process putting together the charges for the fraudulent documents which were substituted and attempted to shift electoral votes to Trump. That’s  a very serious Federal Crime big prison sentence, when the 20 individuals and Giuliani start singing and they will the next charges will be filed against the instigator himself Donald Trump. :tu:

It does bring an interesting point.  Isn't it perfectly legal to lie about the country/government?  It's not like the government sues for slander.

It certainly seems like people are aware of this and routinely do it as well.  Take the whole election fraud accusation-  Arizona can't sue to stop people from claiming fraud happened even after multiple audits.  But Dominion certainly can and did sue.

True. In some instances lying can create libel. Now they must prove Dominion machines helped to steal the election, or pay up.

I’ve instructed my family to sue Kamala Harris if I get Covid and die. She said not to get the vaccine if Trump said to get vaccinated.

….think of all the blood she has on her hands….

I'm guilty of that.  I like mocking people who claim to support Trump but didn't trust him enough to get the vaccine he "warp speeded" through.

Ya know, that's kinda funny because Trump and the pharmaceutical companies are not one in the same. He didn't become a virologist overnight, unlike all of the people that read a few papers and think they are experts. It was the Democrats that dubbed it "Trump's vaccine" when they were advising everyone not to get it.
