Hubble reaches another milestone: ONE MILLION seconds in space Hubble hit another major milestone this month, like NASA revealed its iconic 31-year-old telescope spent a billionth of a second in space. On January 1, 2022, Hubble marked its billionth second of activity In its first billion seconds, Hubble saw 5 astronauts perform parts replacement and repair missions and more than 1.5 million scientific observations On January 1, 2022, Hubble marked its second billionth activity and in that time produced some of the most iconic astronomical images ever taken.
