Don't ask him if he thinks inflation rates will affect the mid-term elections?  The reason he got mad is they weren't supposed to ask any unscripted or pre-approved questions.  What does that say about our commander in dementia?

That's how Trump responded to a reporter once. Exact words.

I was responding that you said the reporter was disrespecting him with that line of question. I was pointing out that there was nothing wrong with the question. Biden’s response on the hot mic I think is hilarious

Is this pertinent and why does it matter, as far as why is the media not holding Biden in your words to a stricter standard I have no idea. Maybe it’s because they know that Biden is a bit mentally challenged, but whatever the reason maybe it certainly doesn’t warrant comparing how Trump was treated to how Biden was treated how does that solve anything?

Like I said, Biden is mentally challenged but Trump doesn’t have the same excuse for all he did. Trump did what he chose to do being mentally competent according to you and the others here, so what does make Trump?

He's the freaking president of the United States of America, if he's senile he does not get a free pass in the media! That s*** needs to be called out and addressed, and if necessary he needs to be removed from office.

Do you know how ridiculous you make America seem? The POTUS is a bit mentally challenged so the press can go soft on him? Is Putin going to go soft on Biden? Is Kim Jong Un going to go soft on him? If he can't handle the American media he has no right being "the leader of the free world".

Whatever your are trying to point out is counterfactual.  Arguing its truth is meaningless

You don't think it's worth pointing out that the media treats Joe Biden very differently to how they treated the former POTUS? How the media portrays events has a huge impact on how people vote. Did you know 1-in-6 Independents would have changed their vote if they learned about Hunter Biden's laptop? But because the media quashed the story, that was never a factor in most elector's minds.

More counterfactuals.  If your auntie had balls they'd be your uncle.

The truth is Biden has been called out in the media.  Voters will make their decision.

You're pretty much parotting Rudd and Turnble with you cry of media bias victimhood.  Most people I know are cynical of media reporting.  I guess it might be a symptom of growing up in a land of Murdoch and Packer.  There are execptions, of course, but they're the kind people that find the big secrets on the internet.

The Whataboutism started in the second post.  Where is Trump living rent free again?

That’s very True I agree he should be removed, then VP Harris can take over, bet that would make your day! I have never supported Biden, and ‘I never voted for him, the only thing ridiculous is your intense and of the top concern. It’s pretty obvious Biden is a figure head and not much more, so your comments about what’s he going to do with Russia, and North Korea the VP will handle it. Your comments appear to assume that it is Biden alone against the world which is also very very ridiculous in itsself!:D

Why Biden's SOB moment is very different to anything Trump did!

CNN disagrees with you. They went out of their way to deliberately explain why Trump calling someone a SOB is the worst thing ever but with Biden it's all good. CNN would never have been so magnanimous if it was reversed. None of the mainstream media would. I can't illustrate my point without moving into Whataboutisms, so I'm not going to bother citing examples.

I said most people I know are cynical of the media.  Of course CNN would disagree that.

Should I be concerned by CNN analysis?  Take out the Trump stuff, and you're left with commentary saying Biden's utterance was regrettable as evidenced by his apology and allusions to his pledge to civility on behalf if his Administration.

Biden isn't living up to his own standard.  But, bottom line is the CNN piece holds Trump as a standard.  I'll pass on that thanks.  It lacks integrity.

There is plenty if coverage of Biden's escalating frustration at the media.  The sharks are circling.

You don't see a contradiction in your comments? Either the media is treating Biden differently or the media isn't treating Biden differently - holding both views is not possible. Perhaps you intended to suggest that some media sources have said "geez, he shouldn't have said that", and if that's your definition of "being called out" in the media, then so be it. But it's still a different kettle of fish to how these same media types reported on Trump's behaviour, and there is no way that Biden has "been called out" in the same way that Trump was!

My comments aren't contradictory.  CNN didn't disagree with me.  They just did what you are doing and bringing Trump into the mix.

The media is juxtaposing Biden's actions with his pledge of a return civility In the White House.  For a guy who admits he underpromised it's a gotcha moment.  His reported frustration speaks to the subtext that he is losing it.

Commentary on Trump amounted what he says is not presidential.  Trump often backed away from his own comments by categorising them as sarcastic.  When will the Trump victimhood end?  Am I supposed to see your CNN and raise you with the Boston Herald?

I said people I know are cynical of the media reporting.  If most you know aren't, cool.  Is the media your real greivance, is there something else?

I have not seen a "return to civility". I've seen a president do everything he can to divide America even further than it already is.

Most people probably are cynical of the media reporting. But most of them don't have the knowledge or will to sift fact from fiction. Pointing out these blatant media hypocrisies is one way to bring this sort of thing to people's attention.

And yes, I definitely do have a grievance with the media.

I find it rather concerning people like @Manwon Lender are trying to shoot down the President. I'm not sure what interests at all he has for the country. Biden was just frustrated at the reporter making a snie remark against the agenda and all the other reporters wanted to talk about Ukraine which is a tense issue. He is just not happy with that reporter and lost his patience because they have been at it in the past with each other.

I was just thinking on your statement "is there something else". Now I don't know if this is just more of "I hate the media", or whether this is a separate personal issue, but between 2016 and 2021 the media had a very clear anti-Trump agenda that permeated everything they wrote or said. I don't know if "trauma" is the right word (actually, it definitely is NOT the right word) but being assailed by the media constantly for years left us supporters of Trump with a lot of grief. Suddenly when a new president is in and the media does not have the agenda to tear him down the way the tried to tear down Trump... there's a certain element of griping here!

I think of it as a form of gaslighting, as if the same actions are somehow worse or better because of politics!

This doesn't really have any bearing on the thread, it's just a thought that I wanted to elaborate on just to give my views a little more depth for you.

Unlike you I have earned my right to comment,  @Opus Magnus and not only because I am an American! As far as I am concerned you do not need to be sure or no anything concerning me!

I think if some people on the left can't respect the President, then they should get back on the right side.
