Russia Masses Military Equipment Near Ukraine Borders: A Prologue to WWIII?

Are the oligarchs private citizens/companies.    I'm not sure how good it is to take their money for the actions on Putin.

Russia is an oligarchy (with Putin being the top oligarch) and a kleptocracy (if they didn't steal so much, they'd actually have military similar to their propaganda). Each oligarch serves Putin, or ends up imprisoned, or murdered, and his property confiscated. All Russian business is under direct control of the regime. If some oligarch is still alive and still has a functioning business in Russia, he is by default an accomplice of Putin. This is why freezing and confiscating Russian property is essentially the same as freezing and confiscating any other money (and other assets) that was acquired by any "ordinary" criminal.

If you were to mug someone, or blackmail someone, or rob his house, everything you took would be confiscated and returned to the rightful owner, right? And Putin and his mob are no ordinary criminals, they are extraordinary genocidal war criminals that are destroying and pillaging Ukraine.

There are a lot of investors already, interested in rebuilding Ukraine, but Russia owes Ukraine reparations. Russia must pay for the damage it caused in Ukraine. Russian property in the West won't be enough to cover these expenses, but the point is that the whole world must be reminded that attempting to occupy, loot and destroy a neighboring country will not be tolerated and will not be profitable for the aggressor.

I guess it is good that there are so many with guns in the USA.

No, not really. I'm not against guns, at all, but I am against letting just anyone wave a gun around.

In case of an actual war, you still have to be a part of organized, legal military force, or you'll just be an additional nuisance for your actual armed forces. You can't have your own war by your own terms, that's something your country will organize. War is a team sport.

They call that form of Armored Personal Carrier a Grenade catcher, they are really great at containing the blast from Grenades, both hand thrown and rocket propelled. The more Russians packed inside the less fragmentation that will escape when a hand grenade in thrown inside with them, which protects anyone outside from shrapnel! :D

Nope, firstly apologies Ukrainians (and Russians) who might die, but the war is good TV and YouTube.

Oh, staying neutral would not be an option I would even consider.    I just would not have spent as much as they have.   The disparity is far too much, especially when the USA is not a target more than the other countries.

Like I said previously that is the problem with being a Super Power and unfortunately it can’t be avoided! But, even with your graph above your not factoring in the money our Nation will receive from current and future weapons sales.

Not exactly. The British paid a horrific price in casualties, their command structure was, basically, wiped out, command devolving down to a junior officer who, horrified by the slaughter, called a retreat and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Naughty certainly not, politics has its place but this thread is no the right place for it. Unlike some others my only motivation for being a member of this forum is not for adding a political agenda to every post I make, I post in threads from ET to the supernatural. There is a place for politics, but in a thread about World domination and Russian aggression there is no room for such nonsense, fricken real people are being raped, murdered, and ethnic cleansing is being propagated against people no other reason than aggression.

Sorry if you disagree but that’s the facts Jack, peace!:D

Ukraine should hand territory to PUTIN, Germans say in poll with doubts over West's arms

''Polling suggests, however, that most Germans do not believe Ukrainian forces are capable of succeeding in pushing their Russian counterparts out of the occupied territories.

Sixty-nine percent said that even if the West continues to increase its level of arms support for Ukraine, a full victory is not possible.

As a result of this, close to half of those polled said Ukraine should be ready to make territorial concessions in negotiations.''

https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1636372/ukraine-news-hand-territory-Vladimir-Putin-germany

More and more Europeans seem to think that Ukraine should be steered into making concessions...People are starting to question the policies of arming Ukraine without any kind of peace plan or negotiation with Russia, which spells trouble for European politicians in the long run. I wonder how many germans will still be in favor of these same policies in the next winter? Probably not a lot.

Thanks for your post, but if you going to make comments and post a source, please fact check it before you post it because this source has no credibility at all! This article is from a tabloid like the National Enquirer, for people with simple minds which doesn’t apply to the members if this forum in general.

Overall, we rate the Daily Express Right Biased based on editorial content and Mixed for factual reporting due to publishing conspiracies & pseudoscience and a few failed fact checks.

Detailed Report

Analysis / Bias

The Daily Express is a British right-wing tabloid newspaper that routinely utilizes sensational headlines such as this: NATO TERRIFIED: Trump may ‘seriously undermine’ alliance in Putin meeting – world on ALERT. Articles are typically written by journalists or correspondents and are reasonably sourced to credible information. However, like many tabloids, the Daily Express also publishes conspiracy and pseudoscience articles such as these:  ‘Portal OPENS’ above New Jersey with some fearing it’s a sign of PLANET X  and Could this strange corpse be the world’s first proof aliens have visited Earth?

Ukraine still relies heavily on Russian-made weapons and will need to turn to other countries outside of NATO to secure enough Soviet-era arms and ammunition to keep up its fight against Moscow, according to a new report.

Eastern European countries in NATO already have handed over most of their spare Soviet-origin systems to Ukraine, but there’s an untapped supply of the Russian-manufactured weapons around the world, including in countries that have publicly supported Kyiv, the report by the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies think tank said.

The United States and other Western countries should help Ukraine get access to those Soviet-made weapons, including artillery rounds, air defense systems and armored vehicles, the think tank said

“Although Washington has scoured the stocks of NATO allies and the Pentagon has explored other potential options, an exhaustive search focusing on non-NATO countries reveals a robust supply of untapped Soviet- and Russian-made arms (and their attendant spare parts and ammunition) that Washington could help Kyiv expeditiously acquire,” the report said.

So, first the sanctions didn’t work like planned and now the war has created a demand for Russian weaponry….

Except that the information is easily verifiable. You are attacking the source but ignoring the content of the article.

The poll comes from RTL/ntv’s. The Daily Express is simply reporting on it.

I can find you the original NTV article in german:

Well they have a say in the matter, since Ukraine is constantly petitioning the EU for more support.

Ukraine is totally dependent on foreign support at this point in it's war against Russia.

Thanks for the link in German I enjoy reading in my first language, do you read German? However, you should translate the article so the forum members can also read it, unlike me German is not their first language and your comments about what it’s says are not accurate!

Yes the bolded comments are from my quote but you left part of the sentence you referenced out, I suppose you were not intentionally trying to be disingenuous! Below, is the full sentence as stated in the post you quoted:
