Russia Masses Military Equipment Near Ukraine Borders: A Prologue to WWIII?

I sympathize with both Ukrainians and Russians. I also think that there won't be peace without negotiations. But some people here prefer that the U.S./NATO fight it's proxy war with Russia to the last Ukrainian.

Your comments across this thread prove otherwise, you claim to sympathize with both sides but even your comments above betray your comments. Blaming NATO for this conflict is disingenuous it’s very obvious where the blame should be placed, so please in the future at least be honest and standup for your true beliefs.

Nothing says "Free Election" like masked men with AKs at the balloting offices.  Sham isn't a good enough word for this nonsense.

I agree. Nothing says "free election" like masked men with AKs at the balloting offices.

Thank you for the photo. Can you post more photos?

All I see are security forces making sure there are no threats for the people casting their ballots.

I'd think there would be a high probability of some individuals or groups wanting to disrupt the referendum process.

I think that one pretty much sums up the sham in the occupied areas. I don't see a need for others but if there are others released though I'll refer you the links as I find them.

A very successful mobilization if I say so myself.

"Putin has succeeded in mobilising a Russian army on the borders... not to fight, but flee"

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/putin-has-succeeded-in-mobilising-a-russian-army-on-the-borders-not-to-fight-but-flee/ar-AA12lrDF?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=5a7fea628c8347b1b28c057e4cef0ec9

"They bring what they can which isn't much, dragging their suitcases behind them. Some have dogs and others cat boxes. They are exhausted after a journey that has taken days, but all seem hugely relieved to have left Putin's Russia. One couple laughed with relief. "Very tired, but happy," said Katy. The relief seemed almost to overwhelm her."

"Some are too scared to talk even outside of Russia, fearful of retribution against their families left behind. Others seize the opportunity to speak their mind, almost shaking with anger as they do."

"Putin is a murderer," Vitaly told me with a smouldering fury."

"We met only one man who had actually received call-up papers. 'Nick' is now on the run from authorities who want to send him to Ukraine to fight. His government "wants to make meat from me" he told us. He was a scientist and an engineer and has so much more than that he said to give to his country."

Why did you remove this part that you quoted, initially:

"The vote is being heavily guarded by Russian or Russian-backed security forces, and with reason. Not only have Ukrainian forces been pushing the Russians and their separatist allies back in both the east and south, but attacks on figures associated with the Russian occupation have mounted."

The individual in the photo above is a Russian Soldier armed with an AK47 looking straight at those voting, but it’s what I would expect you to say.

Did not think it was necessary to make my point, on second thought.

But the BBC article still does explain very well why security forces were on guard, looking for threats.

Thank you. The video in the link there was posted by @DarkHunter a few hours ago.

So far we've got 1 video and 1 photo.

I've typed in the key words into Google images such as "armed, soldiers,  rebels, Ukraine, occupied areas, elections, referendum " https://www.google.com/search?q=soldiers%2C+armed%2C+rebels%2C+ukraine%2C+occupied+areas%2C+elections%2C+referendum&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjk2N-Fq7n6AhWSHzQIHWYkCHMQ2-cCegQIABAC&oq=soldiers%2C+armed%2C+rebels%2C+Ukraine%2C+occupied+areas%2C+elections%2C+referendum&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQARgAMgQIIxAnUABYAGCiQWgAcAB4AIABQIgBQJIBATGYAQDAAQE&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=GTY1Y6ToA5K_0PEP5sigmAc&bih=604&biw=412&client=ms-android-rogers-ca-revc

Any suggestions what other key words to use to find more of these images?

Cause 2 heavily armed Chechen soldiers going door to door with referendum workers to get the votes of civilians wont be influencing the vote at all.

I see a video of a guard escort for 2 women with a plastic container.

Where is the evidence this is at a postal station and people are being forced to vote an indicated way? I could just as easily claim this is a guard escorting 2 women, one of who high value cheques which are going to be posted out.

This is Twitter, trial by Twitter with all its fake videos is not valid.

You are overthinking the search.

Either type into google image search "Ukraine referendum vote" or "(oblast name) referendum vote".  The pictures coming from pro-Russian sources generally are angled or cropped as to not show the soldiers.

Another picture but this time from Lunetsk oblast of the referendum vote

You've either the mind of a child, or you're just being deliberately obtuse as an attempt to make some kind of subtextual point in which, for you, lack of evidence means that it didn't necessarily happen in the way everybody is suggesting. We can see right through your bullscheisse.

This is Twitter, trial by Twitter with all its fake videos is not valid.

Do you really want to play this game and get your nose rubbed into being wrong again.

First off where are you getting postal station.  The video was from a security camera in an apartment building.

Secondly look closely at the plastic container the woman is holding.  It is very similar to these plastic containers from Donetsk oblast.

less-than-p-greater-than-donetsk-peoples-republic-holds-referendum-on-joining-russia-less-than-p-greater-than.jpg.546eba7e8c437597301dfdd0a03053b2.jpg

Then there is this video, particularly at approximately 2:30 mark

The guy is carrying the same kind of plastic container as from the twitter video and also has a heavily armed Chechen guards with them.

There are multiple pictures and videos online of poll workers carrying those plastic containers to polling sites or going door to door to get votes with heavily armed Russian troops yet you try to deny that the evidence is real, saying it's just fake videos.

I'm going to make this very clear, you are potentially the most sad and pathetic person I have had to deal with on this site.  You are defending a nation that has done multiple massacres of civilians, used rape as a weapon of war, and broke just about every part of every Geneva convention.  When presented with evidence that shows Russia committing war crimes, showing how the referendums are fraudulent and illegitimate, or even just the Russian military being defeated by Ukraine you just claim the pictures and videos are fake.

Also who controls Odessa and Mykolaiv as of today and what happened to that massive Russian offensive that was suppose to capture both during the middle/end of summer.

@Golden Duck

You are really going to like cookie monster's post claiming that the evidence of heavily armed Russian soldiers is just fake evidence despite all the videos and pictures out on the internet showing its true.

Thank you for the tip. I'll see what happens and post the results.

No offense but that's the same photo @Trelane provided in post #14377.

So far we have 1 video, posted twice and 1 photo also posted twice.

Edit to add: the following photo was in the link  @Trelaneprovided on post #14390. The photo is on the bottom right.

This brings the total to 1 video and 2 photos so far.

One question, how many photos do you think the Russians would honestly allow out? If I'm going to threaten people to submit votes I would be very careful that my violent coercive tactics aren't on camera. the Russians are lazy so it's expected some photos might find their way onto the internet. They are out there and no matter what your trolling mind thinks it is happening unfortunately.

Also, I've known what you're attempting to do and quite frankly it's a bit silly.
