Seems Russia is still making progress in Donbass despite all the Western efforts.

Only if you blindly believe what is being posted by the Russian State news reporting agencies. I for one, would like for an independent reporting agency to verify that claim. It's likely horses*** though. Russia has miscalculated and mismanaged this entire operation and are clutching at straws to keep their troops and civilian population focused. The whole thing is a military soup sandwich and makes them look like buffoons.

You point that out to him but cannot apply critical thinking to yourself.

Is it fear? You live in a free society dont you where its not illegal to question what the media says?

Because he in no way shape or form can even entertain the possibility that anything from our side is propaganda.

Now to my question, why did you need to even ask? I of course know I wont get a straight answer lol.

''June 19 (Reuters) - Russia said on Sunday that its offensive against Sievierodonetsk in eastern Ukraine was proceeding successfully after it took control of a district in the outskirts of the city.

"The offensive in the Sievierodonetsk direction is developing successfully," Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a video statement. He said the settlement of Metyolkine, on the eastern outskirts of the city, had been taken.

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to strike military targets on the territory of Ukraine," he said.''

Yes, you must be thrilled.

I haven't seen one of your predictions be correct yet.

I recall a month ago you swore to everyone that a Nuke was guaranteed to be fired in the following two days lol.

Idk why you're going at people about sources and critical thinking...

Belarus is moving more military units to the border of Ukraine as the leader of Belarus says he will not allow Poland to invade western Ukraine and that if Russia and Ukraine ask him to defend Ukraine he will.

Why would he say that about Poland? Are there talks about Poland pushing into Western Ukraine?

Russian troops to advance towards Kharkiv, Ukraine official says

''KYIV, June 19 (Reuters) - The situation north of Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, is quite difficult as Russian forces have been trying to get closer to shell the city again, an official at Ukraine's interior ministry said on Sunday.

"Russia is trying to make Kharkiv a frontline city," Vadym Denysenko, an adviser to the interior minister, told Ukraine's national television.''

Ukraine says situation ‘complicated’ in Kharkiv

''Kyiv, Jun 19 (EFE).- The situation in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv is “quite complicated” following several Russian artillery attacks that killed at least one person, Ukrainian officials said Sunday.

Vadym Denysenko, an aide to the Ukrainian interior minister, told Ukrinform news agency that Russian troops were trying to take back control in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city and adjacent to the Russian border.

After their withdrawal in May, Russian troops are striving to seize Kharkiv again and are using artillery fire to increase their chances of besieging the city, Denysenko said.''

Looks like Russia might be about to take Kharkiv back.

Russia never took Kharkiv to begin with and they are still outside of artillery range of Kharkiv.

Some HIMARs might be near Kherson. That might or might not be true, but it certainly sounds nice.

Poland has moved military units to its border of Belarus to deal with a migrant crisis, Belarus and Russia have been bringing in people from the middle east and trying to shove them over the Belarus-Poland border, and as a response to Belarus moving its military to the border regions.  Poland has made no statement about pushing into Ukraine but Poland has set up repair facilities near the Poland-Ukraine border to repair damaged Ukranian military equipment and to send it back to Ukraine quickly.

As for why the leader of Belarus would say this, he is an idiot.  He leaked a map detailing the general plan of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on live television.  He also gave a speech days before the Russian invasion saying how Russia will invade Ukraine through Belarus and how Belarus will help Russia with the invasion, this is while Russia was saying the troops in Belarus were just their for a military exercise.  Its impossible to say why he is saying it but its probably for a stupid reason.

It's absolutely moronic Ruzzian attempt to poison relations between Poland (which gave Ukraine all the tanks they could find) and Ukraine.

Target audience of Ruzzian propaganda are stupid people. As you can see from their recent extra stupid propaganda claims.

But if DW reports on it, that seems credible enough.

Why would DW reporting on it seem "credible enough", especially since they weren't able to independently verify the claim?

Nowhere does it says 50 generals.

Correct, I forgot to include the "and officers" part.

If true, it's a huge loss for Ukraine and shows that Russian intelligence can be very effective.

I suspect that it would be a pretty big loss for Ukraine, if it's actually true - but at this point we only have the words of the Russian Ministry of Defense to rely on for legitimacy of the claim.

Frankly, I am suspicious of these claims. The MOD doesn't have a reputation for being honest.

Its about isolating Belarus for being a Russian ally.

They need to make them panic grab Ukraine.

Noooooo, that's the Russian military. They have a special room for the Generals who have gotten relieved because of this disaster of a military operation.

Let's keep in mind all the reports of Russian success and/or updates of progress are completely unverified. They have basically lost this campaign, so with their outdated thinking they are pivoting towards trying to win the propaganda war. They're clearly losing there too. Hard to argue facts.

If true, I would say that would have been a good thing for Ukraine as 50 leaders with lethally poor strategic decision making skills were terminated from the job.  The ones with the wisdom to not be there have a better chance of winning the war.

Well, that made me laugh how bluntly you put it, but yeah I wouldn`t be able to disagree with your point.

You know, all the people who try to make me out to be pro Putin and pro Russia really have no clue. I`m totally anti-Russia. They assassinated some chap in my country with radioactive poison, tried to get two more with nerve gas that put over 100 people in hospital with it. In fact, I could have forgiven them for assassinations and attempted assassinations of ex-KBG agents to keep their secrets, but putting the wider British public at risk was just reckless.

That does not mean I will be swept along by media propaganda and wont call out blatant BS. The worst lie so far was trying to make out the Russians ran out of fuel, only for them to drive away. Or how about the first few weeks in the war claiming Russian troops were being massacred in their 1000s but a bunch of poorly trained and equipment Ukrainian troops had virtually no casualties. Or claiming Ukrainian civilian deaths were low while showing many pictures of destroyed apartment blocks. Someone is suffering from a Pinocchio problem me thinks.

And most of the posters hear have no idea the problems with Ukraine started when the US and EU decided to fund an uprising to depose their democratically elected president. The two far right parties that seized control then begin motions in the Ukrainian Parliament to make speaking Russian illegal in Eastern Ukraine, and banning holding dual Ukrainian-Russian citizenship. Both proposed to carry long prison sentences. Russia immediately invaded Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.

But I suppose the first thing to go out the window during wartime is the truth lol.

Why can`t the media cut the BS, be honest about the war being to contain Russia, and lets get on with it. NATO need to deploy into Ukraine to stop anymore Russian advances.

Most of that is very presumptive on your part. If you have proof to back those speculations, I'll gladly consider them.

There's really nothing to "contain Russia" narrative. That is just contrarian nonsense that gets spewed because the US for the first time in over 40 years isn't getting directly involved. The Russian government and military have now twice in the last 10 years invaded in the interest of illegal annexation.

NATO doesn't need to deploy at this point. The Ukrainians are doing fine without joint forces getting added to the mix.
