It is sending an older variant they purchased off Germany and did up themselves. The Challenger 2 is actually better that the Polish tanks, and a T-90 has the ammunition to one shot them. But thankfully they both have the ammo to one shot a T-90 too. This isn`t NATO gifting state of the art tanks, its NATO gifting its older stuff that needs replacing. With the exception of the Americans, which are delivering new build tanks but without the chobham armour package but won’t arrive until 12 months time. Russian imperialism has been thoroughly destroyed. which was the reason for the defence of Ukraine. Now it’s up to the Ukrainian’s to decide if a protracted war or settlement better suits them. Face facts, you can't do business in the NYC property market without rubbing up against organized crime. Also, the Russians won't give you billions of dollars in bankruptcy bail-out money without leverage over you, and certainly not without "quid pro quo". Trump took this lesson to heart, hence his "perfect phone call" to Ukraine about the quid pro quo, remember that? Simple fact: Trump took Russian money, so he also took the quid pro quo, which was "you work for us now". You don't need to know Trump's character if you know the character of the FSB. Up to 6 months to a year before they start receiving them. The war is bogged down. But on the plus side we have you to entertain us a while longer There have been encouraging signs within the US military that they may well speed things up with Abrams. One of the generals pointed out that even if the USA sent an Abrams to Russia with a bow on it, they simply couldn't duplicate it within a decade, because Russian manufacturing is too primitive, and even if they could, the sanctions have denied them the necessary resources. The report also mentioned that Ukranian crews could be up to speed with the Abrams within 30 days, and the maintenance claims are all exaggerated BS.

The western Tank deliveries are not really needed. The T-90s were slaughtered because Russia hasn't trained its military in even basic combined arms doctrine, as all the training money went on hookers and blow, as per usual. Tanks require infantry support, and Russia has only recently figured this out. Tanks aren't obsolete, it's just Russia for all its bluster has no tank doctrine worth phlegm. Incidentally, neither did ISIS, when they squandered their arsenal of captured Abrams in stupid operations in Syria and Iraq that presumed tanks are invulnerable. If one doesn't know how to use a tool, it is very likely one will break it without getting any value out of it. The tanks being sent are necessary for Ukraine to go on the offensive. Ukraine won't make the same mistake as the Russians have made. Ukraine definitely has a proper working tank doctrine. The Ukranians also need tanks that haven't got a built-in "suicide ring" inside their turret like the T-72. The sooner Ukraine gets the tanks, the sooner the war will be over. Sadly the UAF didn't need my translating skills. Basically I'm too old for active service in the UAF. Had I been career military things might have been different. Most foreign volunteers are being turned back. You actually have to pay a bribe in order to join the Ukranian Territorials, the demand to fight Russia is so high. Compare that to the Russians fleeing their country to avoid the draft... Edited January 28, 2023 by Alchopwn
