jethrofloyd Posted February 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2022 Quote Sadly, however, despite their best efforts, Tremblay and his colleagues were unable to find any signs of aliens. Sadly, we are alone in the universe. 1 Top
fred_mc Posted February 16, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2022 I wonder why they are looking towards the center of our galaxy for advanced life. There is a much higher risk of life being destroyed there due to higher density of asteroids, supernovas, black holes etc. Advanced life is more likely in the outskirts of the galaxy. 2 Top

Perhaps because, if not mistaken, the closer you get to the center the more older stars systems you'll find and thus older civilizations. There is also a possibility of harvesting energy from black holes.

This sounds more like a phrase taken from a some of Arthur Clarkes sci-fi books. 1 Top

You mean like whether there is or isnt life in the galaxy both are terrifying. I believe there is life and even intelligent in the vast universe but because of that vastness we will likely never meet them. 1 Top
